Kanye’s busy week

Kanye decided to join twitter this week, he has wasted no time gaining followers or
getting his tweet game on lol you can find him at @kanywest.
Ye recently stopped by the offices of Rolling Stone to talk about his album:
West says the vibe of his new record is positivity, acknowledging that he’s made mistakes in his life. Adding that he believes great art doesn’t have to come from dark places, he said, “I feel like [now] I can be a vessel for good will and energy.” Dressed in a tailored charcoal gray suit, black wayfarer-style sunglasses and lace-less Dries Van Noten shoes, West opened up his laptop and fired through nearly a dozen new tracks plus snippets of unfinished ones. He played the full version of “My Chain Heavy” (the racially charged song he debuted a cappella at Facebook earlier this week), which was anchored by an old-school beat with a spacey whistle hook. Other songs featured some of Kanye’s most adventurous and experimental music yet: heavy beats, cellos, sparse piano lines, fuzzed-out electric guitar solos, and spooky sci-fi melodies.

A New Michael Jackson album is being released

A new Michael Jackson album will be released this November. According to his former manager, MJ had more than 100 unreleased songs that were stored in a vault. The album is part of a seven year contract the Jackson estate has with Sony Music… #sideeye
The 10 track album will be the first of a ten project deal that’s also includes reissues of his older albums, a new greatest hits set, a DVD collection, and even a karaoke and dance video game titled Michael Jackson: The Video Game.
Diddy Cries Racism

Diddy is finally realizing that he is black, and no matter how much money
he has,
he will always be looked at, as buffoonish a** black man with money…yeah I said it *shrugs*
Anyways In a recent VIBE interview, Diddy was bitching about the questions that was asked
during his ABC News interview with Nightline host Martin Bashir, he says the questions were racist.
Bashir is best known for the controversial interview he did with Michael Jackson in the interview
he called Micheal Jackson out for sleeping with children in his bed.
Anyways during Diddy’s interview, Bashir asked Diddy if he knew who killed Tupac,
and if he was setting a bad example by fathering “multiple children by multiple mothers.”
However one question in particular made Diddy upset.
He was really upset about being asked if it was appropriate for him to buy
his 16-year-old son, Justin
a Maybach, Diddy felt that question was racist.
He tells VIBE mag:
There were times in the interview when I had to give him an ultimatum. The questions weren’t being handled the right way. In hindsight, when I saw him I shouldn’t had done the interview because I know the style of interview that he does . . . The whole thing about giving a Maybach to my son, that’s really like a racist question. You don’t ask White people what they buy their kids. And they buy ‘em Porsches and convertible Bentleys and it ain’t no question. It’s really a racist question and put things back in perspective with money and the way that people still look at you. And I’m not saying that consciously he’s a racist. But he probably don’t even realize that he would not ask Steve Jobs that.
He would be like Steve Jobs has that money and that’s the gift his kid is supposed to get.

Tiny is now the queen of the south

The King Of The South has Officially wed his ride or die chick Tiny…
T.I. married his longtime girlfriend/baby’s mom Tameka “Tiny” Cottle at a Miami Beach courthouse.
Us Weekly reports they’ll repeat their vows in an elaborate ceremony in three cities.
The couple will wed again (today) Saturday 31st, in front of close family and friends
on a small private island off the coast of Miami.
Congratulations Tip and Tiny…about damn time!!!
Jay-Z and Will Smith are both being sued

Jay-Z and Will Smith are being sued over their hit Broadway musical FELA…
Photographer Marilyn Nance has filed suit alleging one of her pictures was used in the production without her permission.
The musical Which has already won a Tony Award, tells the story of late Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti
and it features an iconic picture of the singer’s Nigerian nightclub as a backdrop.
Nance took the picture in 1977 and is suing the show’s producers, which includes Jay and Will, for $150,000 alleging they used the picture without her consent.
Her attorney Edward Greenberg cited in court documents, “You have employed our client’s registered image without her permission, license or consent.”
The suit also claims the image has been used on souvenir books, the show soundtrack CD and in a music video.

A publicist for the production, Richard Kornberg, has acknowledged the legal action and insisted Nance should have notified the producers of the problem sooner.
Speaking with The NY Daily news, he states:
“We tried to resolve the claim but could not, and are now in the process of replacing that image. Unfortunately, this photographer waited two years to voice an objection to our use of this image. Had she notified us earlier, we would’ve replaced it then.”
In my household we grew up listening Fela Kuti his music is wonderful,
I think it’s shame that she has waited this long to speak up…
I hope his legacy is not remember by this lawsuit, but by the great music he put out
in not only in Nigeria, but around the world.
Wyclef is running for president of Haiti

Wyclef Jean is set to announce his official run for President of Haiti.
At first I thought it was a rumor, but it seems that the Yele Haiti head
is seriously mulling over the idea, he even stated that he
“Can’t sing forever.”
according to Allhiphop Wyclef is preparing to make
his formal announcement next week, at that time he will announce
his run for Presidency Thursday, August 5th.
The 2010 election will take place November 28th
and the sitting President,Rene Preval is not eligible for reelection.
I don’t know if Wyclef is qualifed to run a country, but good luck to him
it’s always good to see people thinking outside the box…
foxy speaks about Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj

Ha! I knew it was only a matter of time before The Ill Na Na spoke about the Lil’ kim and Nicki “beef”
she sat down rectly to talk to MTV’s Sway and to squash any rumors.
during her show at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill foxy rapped, “I’m the only Trini chick that can kick yard shit,” causing concertgoers to speculate whether she was taking shots at Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj, but Foxy said she has no problem with Nicki.
“I actually applaud Nicki for it,” she told MTV News. “I think she’s doing an incredible job of branding herself. When you’re a boss bitch, you give it up. Send her a Chanel bag or something. If you’re winning, you’re winning. That’s just how I see it.”
While she did give Nicki props, she also cautioned the female MCs out there
not to mess with her. “I’m a beast on that mic,” she warned.
“I don’t really think they want any problems with that.”
Unlike thirsty Lil’ Kim, Fox doesn’t feel her peers need to pay homage to her.
“I’m not even in that category ’cause I’m still one of the youngest female rappers in the game,” she said. “[Other rappers] may feel like that because they’re older, but I myself am still young.”

Behind The Scenes of Eminem’s Recovery

A new video clip was posted to Em’s official website yesterday, it shows photographer Nigel Parry shooting him outdoors on April 8 in downtown Detroit. It was a day that had a temperature of 33 degrees.
“Oh, hey—take your time, okay? I am enjoying the weather so f***ing much, I want this to be my house for real,”
Em jokes while sitting in a makeshift glass house living room in Hart Plaza.
Regarding the shoot at Hart Plaza Marshall says:
“[The glass house] symbolizes, like, what my life is like right now—you know, because of the fame but also kind of how I’ve had to remove myself from society, hold back to, I guess, conquer my demons, my addiction, and that whole thing.”

she was on the Jimmy Fallon show this week performing with a
indie rock band “Montreal”, she did a collaboration with them
called “Sex Karma”… Solange has always been weird as hell to me,
but she can really sing, the song wasn’t as bad as a thought it would be.
