An Australian researcher has named a rare horsefly after Beyonce because of it’s unique golden bottom -_-

A previously un-named species of horse fly whose appearance is dominated by its glamorous golden lower abdomen has been named in honour of American pop diva, Beyoncé – a member of the former group Destiny’s Child, that recorded the 2001 hit single, Bootylicious.
According to the Australian National Insect Collection researcher responsible for officially ‘describing’ the fly as Scaptia (Plinthina) beyonceae, CSIRO’s Bryan Lessard, the fly’s spectacular gold colour makes it the “all time diva of flies”.
“It was the unique dense golden hairs on the fly’s abdomen that led me to name this fly in honour of the performer Beyoncé as well as giving me the chance to demonstrate the fun side of taxonomy – the naming of species,” Mr Lessard said.
“Although often considered a pest, many species of horse fly are extremely important pollinators of many plants,” he said. “Horse flies act like hummingbirds during the day, drinking nectar from their favourite varieties of grevillea, tea trees and eucalypts.”

39-year-old Shawn Weimer needed to make a quick run to a gas station at 3 a.m. last week,
but he knew he was way too drunk to drive, So like any responsible parent,he enlisted his 9yr old daughter
as his designated driver, Unfortunately for him and her his drunk a** ran his mouth at the gas station,
and got popped soon afterwards. The 9-year-old daughter was a pretty good driver, even though she had to use a booster seat to see and steer LOL.
When the cop pulled her over and she said to the officer:
“What did you stop me for? I was driving good.”

The Associated Press obtained video footage showing the van pulling up to the gas station and the drunk dad walking in with his daughter, who he bragged to the clerk about being his designated driver.
“I got a designated driver,” he said. The little girl admitted to police that her father had been drinking all night, and told them that he had allowed her to drive before.
“Then he was argumentative with us, that it was his right to teach his daughter how to drive,” local police detective Lt. Robert Grant said, adding, “Very sweet, intelligent little girl.”
Weimer refused a Breathalyzer test, and was arrested on the spot. He told officers he was teaching his daughter how to drive.
The impaired father was charged with 2nd and 4th degree child abuse and was ordered to have no contact with his daughter during an October 10th arraignment. (At least he didn’t get charged with a DUI!)
He was also charged with being a habitual offender, stemming from convictions on four previous unrelated felonies, including receiving and concealing stolen property and unarmed robbery. If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison.
Weimer’s 9-year-old daughter was turned over to her maternal grandfather due to police not being able to reach her mother, who is separated from her father at the moment.
This isn’t Weimer’s first run-in with the law when it comes to his drunkenness. In 2007, he was convicted of driving while intoxicated in connection with a car crash in another area of Michigan, and his license was restricted for year. (This is probably when he started teaching his then 5-year-old daughter how to drive him around!)
Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time a drunk dad has used his single-digit-aged child as a designated driver. We’re noticing a pattern here.

Irish Farmer confronts Rihanna for going topless on his land

Northern Ireland farmer Alan Graham says he doesn’t know who Rihanna is, but she must keep her top on while performing on his land.
- Pop superstar Rihanna has been ordered to cover up by a Christian farmer who took exception to her “inappropriate behavior” while filming a music video on his land.
The controversy has erupted in Northern Ireland and was even discussed Tuesday by lawmakers in the province’s elected Assembly in Belfast.
Rihanna, who was born in Barbabos but has Irish ancestry, is in Northern Ireland this week for sold-out shows at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena.
The 23-year-old had been given permission to film a video for the song “We Found Love” in a muddy barley field owned by farmer Alan Graham outside Bangor, about 10 miles from Belfast.
Graham explained Tuesday, “I didn’t know who was coming. If the name ‘Rihanna’ had been mentioned, well, no disrespect, but it wouldn’t have meant anything.”
However, he says that when he went to get his tractor Monday and saw the singer stripping down to a bikini top, he stepped in to end the shoot.
The local political representative said he “asked the film crew to stop, and they did.”
Graham insisted that “there were no hard feelings.”
He added: “I had a conversation with Rihanna; we shook hands; we parted company on good terms. I found her very gracious, and I hope she understands where I’m coming from. I wish her well.”
Word had quickly spread of Rihanna’s surprise appearance in the Northern Irish countryside, and traffic came to a standstill as fans attempted to catch a glimpse of the star.
Graham’s wife shed more light on the incident Tuesday, revealing that Rihanna had gone topless.
Said Mrs. Graham, who declined to give her first name, “What she was doing became more inappropriate. When she started to go topless, that’s what Alan was particularly objecting to — things were getting out of hand. There was a man as well, and the behavior was getting more inappropriate. … It wasn’t the sort of thing Alan wanted young people (those watching) to see on his land. We are Christians.”
However, Mrs. Graham added: “The girl was very nice; she shook hands with Alan several times” after he asked for the filming to stop.
Not to be deterred, Rihanna was back filming again in Belfast on Tuesday.
