Gay Atlanta Beating Victim Speaks Out
Feb 11th

The Atlanta man who was the victim of a brutal anti-gay attack caught on tape has spoken out publicly about the incident, telling reporters that he is still shaken by everything, and the “scars run deeper than anyone will know.”
20-year-old Brandon White says he didn’t want to contact police at first, but he changed the mind after he learned that the recorded video footage from the attack — which saw him being beaten and hit over the head with a car tire outside a neighborhood grocery store — had gone viral on the internet after being posted to World Star Hip Hop.
“At first I was embarrassed,” White told reporters in Atlanta on Wednesday (Feb 8). “But if they are willing to put it out there, I’m going to face it.”
He continued, “By them going ahead and putting it on the Internet, I feel that they wanted the attention. They wanted to make themselves look like they were brave or strong, but in my opinion, I’m the brave one.”
In the video, which was reportedly recorded on Saturday (Feb 4) and uploaded to the Internet the following Monday, White and an unidentified friend can be seen walking out of a grocery store.
Within seconds, a man comes out of nowhere and punches White right in the face, knocking him the ground. White is then brutally attacked by three men, who punch him and stomp him while he tries to cover his head.
One of the attackers — who is wearing a t-shirt with the words “Jack Gang” written on the back — even throws a tire at White, striking him in the head.
While the purported gang members are beating the young man, the camera man, laughing, says several times, “No faggots in Jack City!” Another nearby onlooker can be heard saying, “No faggots, man.”
White, who confirmed that he is gay, said that he was still shaken by the violent gang assault, but did not go into further detail regarding what lead up to the attack.
“The scars run deeper than anyone will know,” he said. “The physical pain, I can get over that. My thing is: Who’s to say they won’t come after me again? Who’s to say they won’t kill me?”
As we reported yesterday, the feds have launched an investigation to uncover details regarding the incident.
The men in the video still haven’t been identified, and police are still asking anyone with any information about the incident to call Zone 3 officers at 404-624-0674, or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477.
here is the beating this shit is sad AF smh!!
The victim is then set upon by three men who punch and stomp him while he tries to cover his head. One of the attackers–who is wearing a shirt with “Jack Gang” imprinted on the back–even strikes the victim in the head with a tire.
As the man is beaten, the giggling cameraman announces, four times, “No faggots in Jack City.” An onlooker can be heard saying, “No faggot, man.” The video ends after one assailant picks up the victim’s cell phone and then punches the man in the head while holding the device.
Coco Poses Naked with Her Infant Nephew
Feb 11th

Coco who is famous for nothing, recently tweeted a pic of herself sleeping butt-naked with her baby nephew #sideeye…
The thirsty 32-year-old, who I always assumed was in her mid-40′s is married to rapper-turned-actor Ice-T,
supposedly Ice-T took the picture…. Many people are pissed and disturbed by the picture, it’s now leading to a debate online,
regarding what is acceptable to post online, when it comes to other people’s children.
Coco’s real name Nicole Natalie Marrow, she later removed the picture from her Twitter page shortly after posting it,
she then posted this picture to replace it, but the damage was already done -_-

Twitter is now restricting user content in certain countries
Jan 30th

in which the company announced it has refined its technology so it can censor messages on a country-by-country …
source: (Reuters) – Twitter announced Thursday that it would begin restricting Tweets in specific countries,
renewing questions about how the social media platform will handle issues of free speech as it rapidly expands its global user base. Until now, Twitter had to remove a Tweet from its global network if it received a takedown request from a government. But the company said in a blog post published Thursday that it now has the ability to selectively block a Tweet from appearing to users in one country.
“Starting today, we give ourselves the ability to reactively withhold content from users in a specific country while keeping it available in the rest of the world,” the Twitter blog said.
Twitter gave as examples of restrictions it might cooperate with, such as “pro-Nazi content” in France and Germany, where it is banned. It said even with the possibility of such restrictions, Twitter would not be able to coexist with some countries.
“Some differ so much from our ideas that we will not be able to exist there,” it said.
“As we continue to grow internationally, we will enter countries that have different ideas about the contours of freedom of expression,” Twitter wrote.
In the interest of transparency, Twitter said, it has built a mechanism to inform users in the event that a Tweet is being blocked.

Marines Urinating on Dead Taliban Bodies in Viral Video identified
Jan 17th
The United States Marines Corps say they have identified and interviewed the four men who were seen urinating on corpses in Afghanistan in a viral video that was posted online this week.
The video, which first surfaced online Wednesday morning, and is described as a “recruitment tool for the Taliban,” shows four men in full combat uniform laughing and joking around as they relieve themselves on three dead bodies.
One of the men can be heard saying, “Have a great day, buddy!” as his colleagues laugh, and another jokes, “Golden like a shower.”
According to various published reports, the four men were members of the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines out of Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, where they reportedly showed the video off as some sort of “war trophy.”
So far, the names of the men have not been released, but an unidentified official says that some of the men are no longer members of the military.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta called the video “utterly deplorable” and ordered a high-level probe into the incident, which has been condemned by other White House officials and politicians, including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senator John McCain and Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai, who called the soldiers’ actions “inhumane.”
“Those found to have engaged in such conduct will be held accountable to the fullest extent,” said the Secretary of Defense, who advised the commander of western troops in Afghanistan to launch their own investigation.
Hillary Clinton expressed “total dismay” at the video, calling it “deplorable behavior” and “absolutely inconsistent with the standards of behavior that the vast majority of Marines hold themselves to.”
“Anyone, anyone found to have participated or know about it, having engaged in such conduct, must be held fully accountable,” she said.
Though the nature of the charges brought against the men are unclear, desecrating bodies is a crime under U.S. military law and the Geneva conventions.
In response to the growing diplomatic storm surrounding the situation, the deputy commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, Lt. General Curtis Scaparrotti, said in a message to troops Friday that defiling, desecrating, mocking, photographing or filming for personal use insurgent dead constitutes a grave breach” of the laws that are currently governing armed conflict.
But not everyone is so strongly against the video. A prominent anti-Muslim activist in New York, Pamela Geller, who famously opposed the construction of an Islamic center near ground zero, praised the soldiers for desecrating the the corpses of Afghans who she described as “murderous savages.”
“I love these marines. Perhaps this is the infidel interpretation of the Islamic ritual of washing and preparing the body for burial,” she wrote on her blog.
Florida Rep. Allen West, an ex-Army lieutenant colonel, slammed non-military people who are criticizing the four marines seen in the video, saying, “…unless you have been shot at by the Taliban, shut your mouth, war is hell.”
CNN contributor Dana Loesche, who also supports the troops and their crude actions, said in an interview with FM News Talk 97.1 in St. Louis, Missouri, “C’mon people, this is war. Do I have a problem with that as a citizen of the United States? No, I don’t.”
Meanwhile, Eugenia Weiss, a military psychiatrist based out of California, suggested the soldiers may have been “stressed” or “pranksters with extremely bad taste.”
Eugene Fidell, who teaches a military course at Yale University, said that the Marines could be sent to prison if a jury of military officers deem it to be an appropriate punishment.
War makes people do sick ass things, when you turn young men and women in to legal killers, these are some of the things that happen.
I’m sure both parties hav done far worst to both sides, during the course of this stupid ass war….it’s sick either way, show some class marines, you’re supposed to be the best of the best!
BREASTFEEDING MOMS PLOTTING TO SUE HOSPITAL OVER BEYONCE & JAY-Z
Jan 10th
Sources at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC tell TMZ … the mothers have been gathering at a breastfeeding class at the hospital … and in between latching techniques, they’ve been griping about the way they’ve been treated during the celebrity lockdown.
We’re told the mothers feel they’ve been “neglected” by hospital staff … and now they’re discussing the possibility of filing a lawsuit against LHH.
According to NYDailyNews.com, Bey and Jay-Z dropped $1.3 mil to seal off a private wing of the hospital … with private security roaming all over the place.
Our sources say several mothers have been seen arguing with Bey’s security people … accusing the hired muscle of being “extremely rude.”
Still, we’re told the mothers are not mad at Bey and Jay — directing the blame solely at the people who run the hospital.
One source tells us, “Someone at the hospital should be protecting us patients.”
#sopa internet black out
Jan 8th
Members of Congress may be on vacation, but that hasn't calmed critics who say an effort to stamp out online piracy would create an unprecedented threat to free speech on the Internet.
Far from fading from memory, the Stop Online Piracy Act (along with a related Senate bill) has become a rallying point for Web freedom advocates in a debate that has pitted Hollywood and other business interests against some of the biggest titans of the technology world.
Interest in the debate spiked again this week when one of the bill's opponents suggested that online heavyweights such as Google, Facebook, Amazon and Twitter had considered a "nuclear option" -- temporarily shutting down their sites in protest -- to raise awareness about the bills, which await lawmakers when they return this month.
When contacted by CNN, none of those companies would confirm that such a drastic move had ever been considered. By Friday, the advocate whose comments had fueled the speculation appeared to back away from claims that a Web blackout was still likely to occur.
"Internet and technology companies will continue to educate policymakers and other stakeholders on the problems with the (legislation)," Markham Erickson, director of Web trade association NetCoalition, said in a statement. "An 'Internet blackout' would obviously be both drastic and unprecedented."
Part of the urgency comes from critics' fears that the legislation, which has opponents and supporters on both sides of the political aisle, is going to move quickly once Congress reconvenes.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Democrat, has announced plans to push that chamber's companion bill, the Protect IP Act, as soon as they return January 23. Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon, also a Democrat, and other senators have promised to filibuster, a move that would prevent leaders from calling for a vote until the following day.
"We hope that the Senate will cancel its scheduled vote on PIPA so that we can get back to working with members on how to address the concerns raised by the
(Motion Picture Association of America) and others without threatening our nation's security or future innovation and jobs," Erickson said.
IF THIS BILL IS PASSED,
ANY AND ALL SITES CAN GO DOWN, INCLUDING YOUTUBE, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, MYSPACE, GOOGLE+, TUMBLR, BLOGGER, AND MANY MORE!
IF ANYTHING IS POSTED THAT VIOLATES THIS BILL:
(HR 3261)
IT WILL BE SHUT DOWN.
EVEN IF YOU ARE ONLY SINGING A SONG FOR 4 SECONDS, YOU WILL BE SUED.
REMEMBER ME TELLING YOU ABOUT THE INTERNET KILL SWITCH?
If passed, the "Stop Online Piracy Act," or SOPA (HR 3261), could rip apart the open fabric of the Internet. People could see their websites
disappear from the Internet for a "crime" as innocent as posting a video of themselves singing along to a favorite song.
It paves the way for the sort of heavy-handed blocking tactics you'd expect to see in China, not the United States.
SOPA violates our right to free speech.

Texas teen deported to Colombia back in US
Jan 8th

source: DALLAS (AP) —
A Texas teenager who was deported to Colombia after claiming to be an illegal immigrant was back in the United States on Friday,
and at the center of an international mystery over how a minor could be sent to a country where she is not a citizen.
The 15-year-old’s family has questioned why U.S. officials didn’t do more to verify her identity and say she is not fluent in Spanish and had no ties to Colombia.
While many facts of the case involving Jakadrien Lorece Turner remain unclear, U.S. and Colombian officials have pointed fingers over who is responsible.
Immigration experts say that while cases of mistaken identity are rare, people can slip through the cracks,
especially if they don’t have legal help or family members working on their behalf. But they say U.S. immigration authorities had the responsibility to determine if a person is a citizen.
“Often in these situations they have these group hearings where they tell everybody you’re going to be deported,” said Jacqueline Stevens, a political science professor at Northwestern University, who is an expert on immigration issues. “Everything is really quick, even if you understand English you wouldn’t understand what is going on. If she were in that situation as a 14-year-old she would be herded through like cattle and not have a chance to talk to the judge about her situation.”
Jakadrien was on a flight from Atlanta and would be in Dallas by evening, her mother, Johnisa Turner, told the Associated Press.
She had said earlier that she planned to meet her daughter when she arrives in the city.
“Our day has been hectic, hers is, too,” Turner said. “Just as long as she makes it home, just as long as she gets here.”
Turner said she has “a gazillion questions” for Jakadrien. Federal and local officials may have plenty, as well.
The saga began when the teen ran away more than a year ago. Jakadrien’s family said she left home in November 2010.
Houston police said the girl was arrested on April 2, 2011, for misdemeanor theft in that city and claimed to be Tika Lanay Cortez, a Colombian woman born in 1990.It was unclear if she has been living under that name.
Houston police said in a statement that her name was run through a database to determine if she was wanted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement but the results were negative.
She was then turned over to the Harris County jail and booked on the theft charge.
The county sheriff’s office said it ran her through the available databases and did the interviews necessary to establish her identity and immigration status in the country, with negative results. A sheriff’s office employee recommended that an immigration detainer be put on her, and upon her release from jail she was turned over to ICE.
U.S. immigration officials insist they followed procedure and found nothing to indicate that the girl wasn’t a Colombian woman living illegally in the country.
An ICE official said the teen claimed to be Cortez throughout the criminal proceedings in Houston and the ensuing deportation process, in which an immigration judge ultimately ordered her back to Colombia.
Standard procedure before any deportation is to coordinate with the other country in order to establish that person is from there, the ICE official said.
The ICE official, speaking on condition of anonymity due to not being authorized to discuss additional details of the case, said the teenager was interviewed by a representative from the Colombian consulate and that country’s government issued her a travel document to enter Colombia.
Jakadrien was issued travel documents at the request of U.S. officials using information they provided,
the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. Colombian officials are investigating what kind of verification was conducted by its Houston consulate to issue the temporary passport.
The girl was given Colombian citizenship upon arriving in that country, the ICE official said.
According to the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the girl was enrolled in the country’s
“Welcome Home” program after she arrived there. She was given shelter, psychological assistance and a job at a call center, a statement from the agency said.
“If she looked like an adult, and she told them she was a 21-year-old Colombian citizen, and she didn’t show up in their databases, this was inevitable,” said Albert Armendariz, an immigration attorney from El Paso.
Jakadrien’s family says they have no idea why she ended up in Colombia. Johnisa Turner said the girl is a U.S. citizen who was born in Dallas and was not fluent in Spanish. She said neither she nor the teen’s father had ties to Colombia. Jakadrien’s grandmother, Lorene Turner, called the deportation a “big mistake somebody made.”
“She looks like a kid, she acts like a kid. How could they think she wasn’t a kid?” Lorene Turner asked on Thursday.
Lorene Turner, a Dallas hairstylist, said she spent a lot of time on the Internet trying to track down Jakadrien.
Ultimately, the girl was found in Bogota by the Dallas Police Department with help from Colombian and U.S. officials.
Dallas Police detective C’mon (pronounced Simone) Wingo, the detective in charge of the case, said she was contacted in August
by the girl’s grandmother, who said Jakadrien had posted “kind of disturbing” messages on a Facebook account where she goes by yet another name.
Wingo said the girl was located in early November through her use of a computer to log into Facebook. Relatives
were then put into contact with the U.S. embassy in Bogota to provide pictures and documents to prove Jakadrien’s identity.
Colombian officials said when the government discovered she was a U.S. citizen and a minor, it put her under the care of a welfare program.
State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said the case was brought to the State Department’s attention in mid-December.
“We didn’t have any involvement at all in this case until it came to light that there may be a problem with an American minor in Colombia,
and that — and then we became involved both with Colombian authorities and with folks in Dallas,” Nuland said.
Stephen Yale-Loehr, who teaches immigration law at Cornell Law School, said hundreds of U.S. citizens are wrongfully detained or deported each year.
“There are a variety of legitimate reasons why somebody might not appear to be a U.S. citizen at first glance.” he said.
“It’s the duty of the U.S. federal immigration agency to make sure that we do not detain and deport U.S. citizens erroneously. And this, unfortunately happened in this case.”
” She was given shelter, psychological assistance and a job at a call center, a statement from the agency said.”
She was given a JOB, a place to live and counseling? hell She was doing better there than 1/3 of the people living in the USA.
