According to ABC news, Deangelo was charged with drug trafficking and bonded out on December 1st.
After toxicology reports confirmed the cause of Wayne’s death, police then went back and hit him with the murder charge.
Teen Whipped by Uncle on Facebook, Shot to Death in Louisiana

The 16-year-old Louisiana teen, Michael Taylor, made internet headlines when he was whipped by his uncle in a video posted to Facebook for claiming to be a gang member was shot to death last week.
Taylor’s family said he wasn’t in a gang, but acknowledged that he glorified that lifestyle, which may have led to his death.
The teen’s uncle, Lamoine Ward, said it wasn’t his intention for the video to get so much attention. He said he simply wanted to set the record straight after he caught his nephew boasting about being in a gang on Facebook.
“Because I was not only going on his walls, I was searching his friend’s walls – I also was frightened about what could happen to my family,” he said.
Lamoine never imagined his nephew would be shot to death near his Terrytown apartment last week.
“I was led by the right spirit when I did it, but now the enemy is twisting it in my head like I did something wrong,” he said. “Like, maybe I drew some extra attention to make him feel he like he needed to prove to these people he’s not soft.”
Kimberly said her son was a good kid, but one who may have been desperately trying to fit in. “I’m hurt. I’m not angry. But I’m hurt. I’m hurt, my boy was my world,” Taylor’s mom said.
Lamoine said the video was created out of tough love to try to save his nephew from the violent street life.

Taylor’s mom doesn’t blame Lamoine for his actions. She said she believes her son was already a victim of the culture that glorifies gang life and violence.
“I’m hurt, but at the same time I’m blessed,” she said. “If my child’s death could save another child’s life and another mother don’t have to go through what I feel, I feel alright then.” Taylor’s killing is under investigation.

Cops investigate the fatal stabbing at the Greenville, S.C., Walmart
Holiday shoppers at a South Carolina Walmart watched in horror as a man stabbed his wife to death in the store during a heated argument, authorities said.
The big box retailer remained opened for business after the grisly slaying, police and witnesses said.
Avery Blandin, 46, of Simpsonville, is facing murder charges for brutally stabbing his wife, Lila Blandin, 38, as she was worked at a bank located inside the Greenville store on Saturday, cops told local station WYFF.
Phillip Tallent was shopping for Christmas lights with his family when he heard the chilling screams.
“When I looked, I could see a couple of stabbing motions, and I started to run towards the front,” Tallent told the station. “When I got up there … (the man) was making a stomping motion at (the woman) across her chest and neck area.”
Blandin fled the scene, but cops caught up with him after he wrecked his truck during the getaway attempt, police said.
Lila Blandin died later at a local hospital, authorities said.
Holiday bargain hunters said they were sickened that the store didn’t close after the gruesome attack.
“I saw there was blood everywhere, on the ground, on the table, on the wall,” shopper Brittany King told WYFF. “It’s disrespectful to the family that it happened to. Especially the people and the employees who saw it happen.”

Greenville County deputies said it was the store’s decision to stay open after police arrived and roped off the gore-splattered crime scene.

Blandin was being held in the Greenville County Detention Center.

Second Child Shot By Mom At Texas Welfare Office Dies today

12-year-old Ramie Grimmer and her 10-year-old brother Timothy both died this week after being shot by their mother after being denied good stamps at a Texas welfare office Monday.
CBS News reported Thursday (Dec 8) that Ramie died at a San Antonio hospital, and her brother Timothy was listed in critical condition at the time.
Earlier today, more sad news was reported, as Radar Online published a story confirming Timothy’s death after his father Dale Grimmer made the crucial decision to remove the boy from life support.
“He spent hours with Ramie and finally had to let her go,” said Mary Lee Shepherd, the children’s grandmother. “He’s just concentrating on saying goodbye to his children.”
Authorities said Monday that the children’s 38-year-old Rachelle Grimmer had shot them following a 7-hour stand-off with police after a Texas Welfare office had denied her food stamps, which she had been trying to obtain since the summer after moving from Ohio.
Grimmer, who had reportedly been living in a rundown trailer park and was struggling after the move from Ohio, had asked to speak to a caseworker about why her application to obtain food stamps was rejected.
After being escorted to another room to speak about the matter privately, authorities say Grimmer pulled out a handgun.
Police say that during the standoff, Grimmer let nearly two dozen people leave the building unharmed, but kept her two children and the caseworker as hostages.
Grimmer eventually let the caseworker go unharmed, around 7.50 p.m. Monday , Ramie changed the “employer” section of her Facebook account to “may die 2day.”
Later at 10:34 p.m., Ramie posted, “im bored,” and then 18 minutes later, “ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahhhhhhhh.”
The little girl's final post was 11:28 p.m., and read “tear gas seriasly,” which is thought to reference the SWAT team that had surrounded the building attempting to restrain her mom.
As the drama played out on the social networking site, the children's grandmother responded: "I’m here for you guys. no reason to be afraid."
around 11:45 p.m., she shot her two children and herself afterwards, police said.

Texas Mom shoots Her 2 Kids and Kills Herself After Being Denied Food Stamps

A Texas mother-of-two who was distraught about being denied food stamps shot her children and killed herself after holding a 7-hour standoff with SWAT teams at a state welfare office.
After previously being denied food stamps, 38-year-old Rachelle Grimmer, with her 10-year-old son Timothy and 12-year-old daughter Ramie in tow, walked into a Laredo, Texas Department of Health and Human Services building late Monday afternoon demanding to speak to a new caseworker, and not the one whom she had worked with before.
Shortly after, Grimmer was taken to a private room to discuss the case, and that’s where she brandished a handgun, which is when the standoff began.
For the next several hours, police negotiators tried to persuade Grimmer over the phone to bring her children out safely, but she refused, and kept hanging up on them as she complained about how the state and federal government agencies weren’t helping her feed her family.
After about 3 hours had passed, Grimmer let a supervisor go unharmed, but remained inside the office with her two children,.
12-year-old Ramie Grimmer’s Facebook page was updated to say ‘might die 2day’ during her mother’s 7-hour standoff with police.
When Grimmer hung up the phone for the last time fter nearly 7 hours, police heard three shots, and a SWAT team immediately entered the building, where they found the woman’s body in a pool of blood with her wounded children nearby.
She had shot both of the children before fatally pulling the trigger on herself.
Both of the children were reported to be in “very” critical condition and unconscious as of Wednesday (Dec 7).
Authorities told the Associated Press that Grimmer, who had recently moved from Ohio, was denied food stamps because she had left out some key information on her initial application, which was filed in July 2011.
The family’s move from Ohio may have complicated Grimmer’s application since the family had no Texas records the agency could check electronically, Texas Department of Health and Human Services spokeswoman Stephanie Goodman said, adding that the family was struggling to stay on their feet after the move.
After initially filing in July, Goodman says Grimmer missed her first interview and never followed up with the office to reschedule. Her case was closed back in August for lack of a full application.
Goodman says Grimmer called back in November (3 months later), requesting a review of how her rejected case was handled.
Goodman said after the review, it was determined that caseworkers acted appropriately, and a supervisor called Grimmer’s
cell phone last week to tell her the outcome. No one answered the phone, and the agency couldn’t leave a voicemail because the inbox was full, Goodman said.
“She was dealing with a lot of issues,” Stephanie Goodman told the AP.
Goodman also said she didn’t know whether Grimmer had a job, or whether her children were covered under Medicaid or another state health insurance program for children

Annette Morales-Rodriguez is accused of killing pregnant Maritza Ramirez-Cruz, stealing her unborn child, and trying to pass off the child as her own. Cops say Rodriguez stole the baby because her boyfriend wanted a child but she couldn’t have one.
She faked a pregnancy, and told her boyfriend that it was time to have the baby. That’s when she decided to find a pregnant woman on Milwaukee’s south side and steal her baby. Rodriguez admits to police she thought about telling her boyfriend that she was not pregnant, but she just couldn’t do it. Rodriguez went cruising for a pregnant woman, she found Maritza Ramirez-Cruz and offered her a ride. Rodriguez eventually got Ramirez-Cruz into her home, and let Ramirez use her bathroom. Rodriguez attacked Ramirez-Cruz with a baseball bat as soon as she left the bathroom. After knocking down Ramirez-Cruz, Rodriguez then bound her using duct tape. She also put tape over the mouth of the pregnant Ramirez-Cruz, and covered her head with a plastic bag. Once Rodriguez killed Ramirez-Cruz, she cut the baby from her dead body.
Rodriguez says she was trying to perform a procedure she saw on the DISCOVERY CHANNEL. The baby, which was 38 to 42 weeks in development, was not breathing when Rodriguez pulled it out. Rodriguez hid the body in her basement next to the water heater, and changed her bloody clothes. She wanted people to believe the child was hers so she put some of Ramirez-Cruz’s blood on her private areas. That’s when she called 911 claiming to have just given birth. Medical professionals were able to deduce that Rodriguez had not recently given birth, and the child was not hers. That’s when she decided to tell police the truth. If convicted on the charges, Rodriguez faces life in prison!

A 14-year-old girl from Queens, N.Y., may need a cornea transplant after wearing colored contact lenses she bought at a beauty store for $20.
Erica Barnes said she only wore the hazel-hued lenses for one day, according to local reports. But that was long enough to scratch the surface of her right eye and spur an infection that could leave behind a blinding scar.
“Once that protective barrier is defeated, bacteria can just flow in,” said Dr. Roy Chuck, professor and chair of ophthalmology at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. “You can treat the infection. But part of healing is making a scar, and that can block vision.”
It could take up to six months for doctors to know whether Barnes will need a cornea transplant to restore vision in her right eye. But while she waits, the teen tolerates excruciating pain.
“The density of nerves on the surface of the eye is higher than almost any other place on the body,” said Chuck. A small scratch can feel like 1,000 toothaches. And a big scratch, Chuck said he could “only imagine what it would be like for a 14-year-old.”
Federal law prohibits the sale of contacts, even for cosmetic purposes, without a prescription. But beauty shops on the street and online sell them cheap, without a proper fitting or instructions on how to use them.
“Teens and young adults are bypassing doctors to get these lenses. And when you do that, you run the risk of not having the right fit,” Chuck said.
The wrong fit makes lenses more likely to scratch the eye. Add in a teen who doesn’t understand the importance ofclean lenses and hands, and the infection risk soars.
Chuck said more and more teens are using contact lenses to get celebrity looks. Lady Gaga’s doe-eyed look in the music video for “Bad Romance” inspired a how-to YouTube video promoting eye-enlarging circle lenses. The video has more than 22 million hits. And Rihanna is one of many celebs sporting the golden gaze that Barnes was going for.
“It’s out of control,” said Chuck. “You can get these things on any corner.”
If Barnes’s cornea becomes too scarred as it heals from the infection, doctors will transplant a healthy cornea from an organ donor into her eye. After that, it could still take up to 18 months for her vision to go back to normal.

A 10-year-old boy escaped from his mother’s minivan after she drove into the Hudson River with three of his siblings, drowning them Tuesday night, police said Wednesday morning. City of Newburgh police divers found the bodies of the mother, identified as Lashandra Armstrong, 25; two boys, ages 5 and 2; and an 11-month-old girl inside the van Tuesday night.
At a news conference Wednesday morning, police said Armstrong’s 10-year-old son, Lashaun Armstrong, opened a window of the minivan and escaped after his mother drove off a boat ramp. He worked his way to shore and then was picked up by a passer-by, who took him to the fire station nearby.
Divers found the minivan under the water, several yards away from the shore. The boat ramp is just south of Gully’s Restaurant at the foot of Washington Street. Armstrong and the children were already dead when divers found them. At Wednesday’s news conference, the three children who drowned were identified as Landon Pierre, 5;
Lance Pierre, 2; and Lainaina Pierre, 11 months. The father of the three children was identified as Jean Pierre, 26.
“It’s a horrible sight, all of them in the car,” City of Newburgh police Chief Michael Ferrara said Tuesday night. Ferrara said it appears that the drowings were related to a call about a domestic dispute at 7:43 p.m. Tuesday at 53 William St., Apt. 2.
The alert was called in by an aunt of Armstrong,who told police she heard “tussling” in the background. The aunt told police Armstrong had a history of domestic problems with Jean Pierre, the father of three of her children.
Police have not said who else was involved in the domestic dispute and the motive for Armstrong’s actions is unclear. Officials have spoken with Pierre, but no charges have been leveled as yet. Police were unable to reach anyone at the apartment.
About 8 p.m., Lashaun Armstrong showed up at the fire station and reported that his mother had driven
their vehicle into the river. Lashaun is staying with a female relative, police said.
A downstairs neighbor on Williams Street, Jim Simeon, said a woman and her small children lived upstairs but he’d never spoken to them.
He’d often heard the sounds of children playing come through the ceiling. “The kids play, but not fighting,” Simeon said. “It’s terrible.” He said he heard nothing on Tuesday night.
