Heading into the lockout, no player in the NBA looked to have better prospects than Kris Humphries. The above-average forward was planning a wedding with Kim Kardashian, and seemed likely to be offered a sizeable contract worth far more money than he deserved as soon as basketball resumed. Well, we’re less than a week from the start of the season and Humphries is now…a) about to get divorced and b) playing on a one year contract for eight million dollars he hastily signed with the Nets after his agent’s phone didn’t ring.
In most cities, fans would appreciate all that’s happened to Humphries and leave the guy alone. In New York, not so much. Knicks fans really gave the former reality star the business earlier tonight, booing him every time he touched the ball and generally having a laugh at his expense. Take a look at the footage…

Teen guilty of beheading at least 4 people in Mexico

A 14-year-old born in the United States has been found guilty in a Mexican court of torturing and beheading at least four people and kidnapping three others.
The teenage hit man was sentenced to three years in a correctional facility, the maximum allowed under Mexican law. He also has to pay a 4.5 million Mexican peso fine ($387,500 U.S.).
The defendant, known as “El Ponchis” (“The Cloak”) is a 14-year-old boy from San Diego. Because he is a minor, his trial in Cuernavaca, Mexico, was closed to the public.
He was captured near Mexico City in December. In an on-camera interrogation by Mexican military authorities, the youth admitted to brutally killing people – the victims all were beheaded. The video shows a military interrogator asking the slim teenager with curly hair several questions.
“How many have you killed?,” he asks.
“Four,” he responded calmly.
“How did you execute them?”
“I slit their throats.”
A YouTube video that circulated last year purportedly showed the teenager beating a man with a two-by-four while the man was tied at the wrists and hanging from the ceiling, as other young people watched.
The teen was accused of of crimes related to drug trafficking – specifically cocaine and marijuana – illegal possession of military weapons, and violations against federal organized crime law “with the objective of committing kidnappings and aggravated murder,” juvenile court spokesman Juan Carlos Castro said before the trial.
“El Ponchis” is not the only minor in Mexico allegedly involved with drug cartels. Social media pictures have surfaced in the last year showing teenagers and young men holding high-caliber assault weapons and wearing masks.
Six youths were captured last October in a town about 30 miles south of Mexico City. Graffiti in the house where they were hiding linked them to the so-called South Pacific Cartel, a splinter group that formed after cartel leader and drug lord Arturo Beltran Leyva was killed in a shootout with the Mexican military in December of 2009.

man caught masturbating in women’s bathroom at Walmart

An Indiana man was arrested yesterday after he was caught masturbating in a stall inside the women’s room of a Walmart in Indianapolis.
The suspect, Brandon Jelks, was first spotted by female shoppers who heard moans “and sounds of someone” masturbating emanating from the stall. One witness went into the adjoining stall to look under the divider, and reported seeing “a pair of blue patterned boxers around the ankles of what appeared to be a man’s shoes.”
An off-duty cop working security at the store was then summoned. When the cop confronted a startled Jelks, 20, as he exited the stall (“with his pants unzipped”), he claimed to have accidentally gone into the wrong bathroom. Jelks was handcuffed and brought to the loss prevention office where a search turned up two boxes of condoms that had been shoplifted from the store, according to an Indianapolis Police Department report.
Jelks explained that he had used two of the condoms while pleasuring himself in the women’s bathroom. While being detained, he also reportedly told a Walmart official that he “had a sex problem” and went into the bathroom “to look at the women” while masturbating. While he was doing this, Jelks noted, he was looking at pornography on his cell phone.
The multitasking pervert–who explained that he “needed” to spy on the bathroom occupants to “arouse” himself–was charged with indecent exposure and criminal trespass. Jelks was booked into the Marion County jail, where he remains in custody.

Lil Wayne’s back up dancers jump a waitress at P.F. Changs

Two of Lil Wayne’s back up dancers got arrested in Hartford, Connecticut for attacking a waitress at P.F. Changs after getting into an argument about splitting the check…
jennifer Slaughter, 24, of Auburn Hills, Mich., and Della Hamby, 26, of North Hollywood, Calif., were charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

The waitress at P.F. Chang’s said that she told Slaughter, Hamby and another woman who was not charged that they should have asked to have the check split at the beginning of their meal, not at the end, police said.
The women paid and left, but they later returned to retrieve a cell phone that one had left behind. They swore at the waitress and threatened her. Then, witnesses told police, one pulled the waitress’s hair while the other punched her. They threw the waitress to the floor and continued punching her, police said.
The third patron did not participate in the beating, police said. The waitress sustained minor injuries. A worker at the restaurant said Monday that she was OK.
Police found the suspects across New Britain Avenue from the mall, in front of the Old Navy store.

Two Minnesota Teens Perform a Suicide Pact at Slumber Party

A slumber party in Minnesota ended in tragedy when two eighth grade girls fulfilled a suicide pact, killing themselves and leaving behind suicide notes telling their families that they loved them.
The bodies of best friends Haylee Fentress and Paige Moravetz, both 14, were discovered Saturday by Fentress’ mother, Tracy Morrison.
Haylee’s aunt, Robin Settle, said the girl had recently moved to the rural town of Lynd, Minn., and had complained to her family
that she felt ostracized and bullied. Settle also said there are indications that the girls had planned their deaths for a long time, even including funeral details in a good-bye note.
“I’m shocked and I’m mad and I’m sad…I don’t understand the mentality of kids torturing other kids, kids having to go through this. They don’t think they have anywhere to go to,” Settle told ABC News.com.
Settle said that her niece, Haylee, had been the victim of bullying after moving to Minnesota from Indiana with her mother and 8-year-old brother.
“She was made fun of for being overweight, her red hair,” Settle said. “She posted on my [Facebook] wall that she really wanted to come back…that the people were mean and cruel and she didn’t fit in.”
Even though Haylee wasn’t severely overweight, she was so uncomfortable about her size that she rarely ate in public at school, Settle said.

Paige was Haylee’s closest friend.
“They were best friends. Haylee started school here about a year ago and over the course of the year,
they’d become best friends,” said Brett Behnke, Paige’s uncle.
Paige played hockey and was teaching Haylee to skate, Behnke said.
“She had a big, round face and a smile that’s intoxicating, just a charmer,” Behnke said of his niece.
The two girls were so close, Haylee had hyphenated her last name on Facebook to include Paige’s last name.
Haylee was recently expelled from school for defending Paige during a fight in school, Settle said.
Calls and emails to the Marshall School District to confirm this were not returned.
“That was really weighing on her, missing her friends and being excluded from school. She felt like she was defending herself and her friend,” Settle said.
Minnesota Teens Leave Behind Suicide Notes
The girls died three days after Paige’s mother and stepdad left for a 10-day vacation to Hawaii. Paige spent the night at Haylee’s home.
“Her and Paige got really close. I think they’ve had this plan for some time,” Settle said.
Sometime after 1 a.m. on Saturday, Haylee left a Facebook post for her cousin, Jessica, wishing her a happy birthday.
After leaving a post on her cousin’s wall, Haylee called her closest friend in Indiana, Settle said. Around 6 a.m., Haylee’s mother found the girls.
“They did hang themselves. My sister found them. She’s a medical assistant. She attempted to resuscitate them,” Settle said.
Those efforts to resuscitate the girls failed.
The girls also left behind letters.
“She just didn’t want anybody to be sad for her. She wanted everybody to pray for her and that’s the gist of it,” Behnke said of Paige’s note.
Haylee’s letter was to her mother and detailed plans for her funeral, Settle said.
“She requested everything pink and princess and butterflies,” Settle said.
A funeral will be held Thursday for Haylee and a second one will be held for Haylee on Saturday in Indiana. Paige’s funeral is scheduled for today.
“She was actually one of the most giving loving girls you would ever meet… She just loved everyone unconditionally…
She couldn’t stand people to be made fun of, tortured, teased. She stood up for the underdogs and she was one herself,” Settle said.
I understand that kids get bullied, hell i got bullied, teased, pushed around etc…but i learned to fight back. i feel like today’s society is taking this “blame the bully thing” too far… people are going to hate you, laugh at you etc…it’s not cool but it’s life, suicide is not the answer. the media is making it seems like all of these kids had no way out, they are being treated like myters =( now other kids are thinking it’s “cool” or a way to “express themselves”… at age 14 these girls left notes and funeral arrangements, this is crazy to me…i truly don’t think these girls meant to do it… IMO I think it was a cry for help/attention. either way I pray they find the peace they so wanted.
