In announcing plans for a fundraising venture that would include construction of some sort of monument to Houston native Beyoncé Knowles, Armdeonce Ventures’ Marcus Mitchell indicated last night that there was official civic support behind the project.
“We’ve gotten support from the city of Houston, from the mayor,” Mitchell told Fox 26 reporter Kristin Kane. “We’re waiting for a very nice letter from the mayor right now.” But if Mayor Parker sends him one, the letter may not include what Mitchell is after.
Janice Evans, a spokesperson for the mayor stated this:
“Fox is wrong. The City of Houston is not behind, working with or having anything to do with an effort to build a monument honoring Beyonce.” To soften the blow, she adds, later: “But we doheart Beyonce and her music.”

An Australian researcher has named a rare horsefly after Beyonce because of it’s unique golden bottom -_-

A previously un-named species of horse fly whose appearance is dominated by its glamorous golden lower abdomen has been named in honour of American pop diva, Beyoncé – a member of the former group Destiny’s Child, that recorded the 2001 hit single, Bootylicious.
According to the Australian National Insect Collection researcher responsible for officially ‘describing’ the fly as Scaptia (Plinthina) beyonceae, CSIRO’s Bryan Lessard, the fly’s spectacular gold colour makes it the “all time diva of flies”.
“It was the unique dense golden hairs on the fly’s abdomen that led me to name this fly in honour of the performer Beyoncé as well as giving me the chance to demonstrate the fun side of taxonomy – the naming of species,” Mr Lessard said.
“Although often considered a pest, many species of horse fly are extremely important pollinators of many plants,” he said. “Horse flies act like hummingbirds during the day, drinking nectar from their favourite varieties of grevillea, tea trees and eucalypts.”

Sources at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC tell TMZ … the mothers have been gathering at a breastfeeding class at the hospital … and in between latching techniques, they’ve been griping about the way they’ve been treated during the celebrity lockdown.
We’re told the mothers feel they’ve been “neglected” by hospital staff … and now they’re discussing the possibility of filing a lawsuit against LHH.
According to NYDailyNews.com, Bey and Jay-Z dropped $1.3 mil to seal off a private wing of the hospital … with private security roaming all over the place.
Our sources say several mothers have been seen arguing with Bey’s security people … accusing the hired muscle of being “extremely rude.”
Still, we’re told the mothers are not mad at Bey and Jay — directing the blame solely at the people who run the hospital.
One source tells us, “Someone at the hospital should be protecting us patients.”

To accommodate the influential couple’s demand for privacy at Lenox Hill Hospital, the expecting parents put te hospital on “lockdown” and even booted out of the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) — on the same floor as Beyonce’s delivery “suite” — so the pampered songstress and her party could come and go unencumbered.
“They just used the hospital like it was their own and nobody else mattered,” raged new dad Neil Coulon, whose efforts to see his premature, newborn twins in the NICU were disrupted by the birth of little Blue Ivy Carter.
“They locked us into the NICU and would say, ‘You can’t come out to the hallway for the next 20 minutes.’ When I finally was able to go back out, I went to the waiting room and they’d ushered my family downstairs!”
Beyonce, 30, and 42-year-old Jay-Z — whose real name is Shawn Carter — welcomed their new princess, Blue Ivy, born by C-section, at the Upper East Side hospital Saturday night.
The baby is reportedly named for her dad’s album, “Blueprint” and her mom’s favorite number, four — represented by the Roman numeral IV, or “Ivy.”
The drama surrounding Blue Ivy’s long-awaited arrival began Friday night, when Beyonce checked in under the name “Ingrid Jackson” and settled into her sixth-floor suite to have the baby.
By Saturday night, Blue Ivy and Beyonce had been moved down to a pad on the fourth floor, where her Grammy-winning mom and rap-legend dad showed her off to friends, the hospital employee said.
A hospital spokeswoman said the hospital has special patient suites and that rooms can be reserved.
She declined to give the cost and said published reports that Jay-Z shelled out $1.3 million for “an entire floor” were exaggerated, but would not say by how much.

Beyonce STAN Stabs Friend Over Jay-Z Beyonce Marriage

An Ohio man is accused of stabbing a close friend because the victim did not know Beyonce and Jay-Z are married.
Ronnie Deaver, had close friend Mark Kozelka, 48, over at his apartment in Garfield Heights, Ohio, to watch videos.
“An argument erupted when it was realized that the victim did not know who singer Beyonce’s husband was,” Detective Marty Compton of Parma Police Department said.
“Both males then faced off during the argument and the victim was stabbed in his left side.
The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital where he underwent surgery.
He is currently in stable condition and remains hospitalized for what appears to be a non-life threatening injury.”
A woman in the house, Jennifer Fornari, 31, was also arrested for obstructing justice and tampering with evidence after
she allegedly lied to police that Deaver no longer lived there so he could escape out of the rear window.

“You gotta look at a life like that (Beyonce’s), with a mother and a father and a child and they’re raising and they’re in the music business with her where there is just so many vultures and people who don’t ever tell you the truth… and to look at her life, and to look at how graceful and beautiful and what a lady she is, it just inspired me.
“It made me a little sad because I wish I had that growing up, I wish my mom and dad had been together and I wish that they could have saw (sic) me through the music business and managed me and who knows how much further I would be and how much hell I wouldn’t have gone through.”
To be honest, I used to feel the same way Mary does…I used to feel like damn Beyonce APPEARS to have the perfect life,she is the ideal “image of black beauty” she grew up rich and she knew she wanted to be a singer and her parents gave up everything to help her follow her dreams….
she got married to a rich man and is having her first child at 30, like she said she would the whole time…

A judge ruled Tuesday that superstar singer Beyoncé can’t dance away from a $100 million lawsuit lodged against her by a videogame maker.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Charles Ramos rejected the hip-hop princess’ request to toss the suit filed by Gate Five LLC.
Without explaining, Ramos ruled Gate Five can proceed with civil action charging that Beyoncé “double crossed” the firm when she abandoned its project to make a dance videogame.
In the suit filed in April, Gate Five accused the pregnant songstress of a “bad faith breach of contract so callous that, on what appeared to be a whim, she destroyed Gate Five’s business and drove 70 people into unemployment, the week before Christmas [2010\].”
The suit claims she bailed at the last minute on the project for a videogame called “Starpower: Beyoncé” after making an “extortionate demand” for more money.
Gate Five claims the firm financing the game backed out because of Beyoncé’s last-minute maneuvers.
Beyoncé’s lawyers countered that she had every right to walk because Gate Five had not secured financing for the project by a mid-November 2010 deadline.

SHATTERED Rihanna nearly cancelled a concert after suffering a meltdown under the stress of her mega world tour.

She only decided to perform after making a tearful phone call to mentor Beyonce, who was able to talk her round.
Rihanna went ahead with the concert as planned and wrote online afterwards: “I’m so light-headed!”
The star is suffering from exhaustion amid the stress of her gruelling ten-month, 101-date tour.
A source said: “She’s just a young woman who just wants to have fun, but she was feeling pretty low.
“It’s a mix of exhaustion and stress. She’s been partying hard to take her mind off things, but there are days when she wakes up and doesn’t even know where she is because of the travelling.
