One of the teens involved in a 2009 Chicago brawl that left 16-year-old honor student
Derrion Albert dead says he’s learned from the experience and is pledging to turn his life around.

18-year-old Vashawn Bullock sat down to tell reporters how his life changed forever that fateful September day.

Amuture Footage captured the infamous deadly incident on camera showing Fenger High School honor student Derrion Albert being punched, kicked, stomped and beaten with plywood during a massive brawl through city streets.
Bullock was suspended for five months for the incident but had a change of heart after gaining a mentor who’s paying for his education at Muhammad University of Islam.

He tells MyFoxChicago that his new environment has helped change his life.

“They make sure it’s 100% discipline at all times, from the nails, to the clothes, to your hair, everything…”

Bullock was seen on the Derrion Albert video shirtless and being struck with ply-wood before
grabbing the object himself and preparing to strike someone else with it.
He says however that something told him to put it down and walk away.

“I guess it was the grace of god that was in me. He was planning his directions for me right then…[telling me to] just walk away.”

I get sent so many videos on youtube it’s ridiculous =)
Recently i have been sent a rash of Chuck E cheese arrest videos,
it’s crazy these “adults” were guilty of worse behavior then children.
if you follow me on twitter, then you know at least once every other
month my kids dragggggg me to Chuck E Cheese lol,
don’t get me wrong i have fun while i’m there, but not enough to leave in hand cuffs!

The adults have really been showing out…2weeks ago a guy pistol whipped another guy in the chuck E. cheese parking lot.
then the next week a brawl broke out at the photo booth machine…#wheretheydothatat? this isn’t the club it’s Chuck E Cheese….

According to law-enforcement officials, Chuck E. Cheese
restaurants are hotbeds of violence, as the number of on-premise assaults officers respond to is often “far higher than at nearby restaurants, and even many bars,” according to the
Wall Street Journal.

One police captain said his department responds to more fights at the town’s Chuck E. Cheese than at the local biker hangout.

Chuck E. Cheese does seem to be a veritable powder keg when compared with other, similar establishments, like McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Burger King etc.

At a Flint, Michigan, Chuck E. Cheese not long ago, an 85-person fight broke out, requiring responding police units to fill the restaurant with pepper gas to quell the disturbance.

In Brookfield, Wisconsin, a child’s birthday party descended into madness when 40 people did battle in front of the restaurant’s music stage, where an animatronic chicken and the Chuck E. Cheese mascot were performing.

And in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, a woman in her thirties — upset that a six-year-old boy was “hogging” a video game — grabbed his tokens from his hand. The Wall Street Journal reports that child’s mother confronted the woman, whose male companion began choking her and slammed her against the game console. Chuck E. Cheese employees pulled the man off the mother, and the suspects, who fled the scene, are still at large.

Chuck E. Cheese corporate has now posted signs listing prohibited behavior at 25% of the company’s 538 locations nationwide.

here are some of the regulations, according to the New York Post:

Lynne Collier, Managing Director of Restaurant Research at Sterne Agee, can’t make heads or tails of the disproportionate levels of assault and battery at Chuck E. Cheese.

Collier tells Minyanville:

I don’t know. I really don’t. You do see it more often at Chuck E. Cheese. It could be alcohol, it’s crowded and noisy, especially on weekends, and that can be stressful for parents. From what I hear, children generally enjoy the Chuck E. Cheese experience more than the parents do, so perhaps the parents are on edge already, not being particularly happy that they’re there in the first place, and the stress of the situation just gets to them. It’s certainly very odd, as it’s been going on for years. I’ve even heard that parents have actually beaten up Chuck E. Cheese himself. <<*dies* LOL why would you beat up Chuck E Cheese? SMH!
