Rolling Stone Magazine Crowns Eminem The “King Of Hip Hop”

The magazine has released a list quantifying and qualifying the major players in Hip Hop.
Rolling Stone magazine has crowned Eminem the “King of Hip Hop,” ranking him above Lil Wayne, Drake, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj and more.
The magazine claims that the list doesn’t measure the “all-time greatest,” but rather analyzes data like album sales, YouTube hits and social networking popularity to determine who has the highest index number.
Additional artists to make the final cut include Gucci Mane, Snoop Dogg, Diddy, Big Boi, B.o.B, Lupe Fiasco, Pitbull, Kid CuDi and a handful of others.
Eminem has sold over 80 million records world wide by himself making him the number one Hip Hop selling Artist of all time .
Ice-T Enlists Eminem, Kanye West for Documentary

Ice-T brings out the big guns for his upcoming documentary “The Art of Rap.”
Between starring roles in New Jack City and “Law and Order: SVU” and his wife Coco’s new reality TV show “Ice Loves Coco: Baby Got Backstory,” Ice-T has become one of Hip Hop’s accomplished actors. Now, the west coast rapper is stepping behind the camera for the first time with a new documentary titled The Art of Rap.
Ice-T has enlisted 50 different emcees, including Eminem, Kanye West and many others, to discuss the science behind their lyrical craft. He said that the current influence of pop music in Hip Hop led him to want to make a film discussing the serious art of rhyming.
“I’ve interviewed 50 emcees – everybody – [from] Kanye West, Ice Cube, Eminem to Melle Mell, Grandmaster Caz,” explained Ice. “The Hip Hop scene [has] bec[o]me so pop. I was like, ‘I’m gonna do a movie about real rappers and what inspired us.’ Maybe that’ll hit a reset button on the game and let these kids know it’s not just about a pop record. Rap can do a lot.”
The Art of Rap also features appearances from rap veterans like Ice Cube, Melle Mel, Grandmaster Caz and Immortal Technique.
Ice T is a good actor, I can’t wait for this documentary to be released .
Eminem Wins Six Billboard Music Awards

As Billboard magazine honors music’s top selling acts Sunday night, an absent Eminem ties Justin Bieber for the top honors.
Unless you’re counting host Ken Jeong’s decision to dress as Flavor Flav and then crawl under Nas’ legs, Eminem offered the biggest Hip Hop presence at Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards. It should be noted that Em didn’t actually attend the mostly Pop affair, which was dominated by the likes of Justin Bieber, Beyonce and Britney Spears.
Eminem tied Bieber for the most awards at six wins. Out of 46 award categories, Shady took home nods for Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album [Recovery], Top Rap Album and Top Rap Song [“Love The Way You Lie”
While the selection process by the National Acacemy of Recording Arts and Sciences has recently come under fire for their more subjective methods used for selecting Grammy Award winners,Billboard stated, “all finalists and winners were determined by a combination of chart performances.” The eligibility period for nominations ran from February 28, 2010 through March 1, 2011. The amount of their respective awards reflected the strength of Eminem and Bieber’s current sales. To date, Em’sRecovery has sold over 3.8 million copies, while Bieber’s My World 2.0 has moved over 2.7 million units.
Notable performers Sunday night were Cee-Lo Green, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and Lil Wayne, and Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, who both featured Britney Spears as a guest performer.
To me Eminem is the best rapper to ever do it , he’s out sold every music artist in the rap game .
Eminem Speaks On How Ice Cube Helped His Transition Into Acting

Marshall got some sagacious advice from the West Coast veteran that helped him transition.
Eminem has held it down on the big screen as B-Rabbit in 8 Mile, but he didn’t make the transition from rapper to actor entirely on his own. The Detroit, Michigan native recalls getting some advice from Ice Cube that made his first appearances on the big screen go smoothly.
“I think Ice Cube said this one time; I think I heard him say this one time,” Em told MTV News’ Sway. “If you can rap, if you can perform to the camera for singing and videos, it should be a pretty, fairly natural transition. I felt like having heard him say that was like, ‘Oh, this may be fairly easy’ — and it wasn’t.
Instead, Em was surprised by how difficult it was compared to his experiences in music. “It’s a whole different thing, because you may be used to performing to the camera, but it’s a whole different ball game when the music is off and you have lines that you need to say,” he continued. “It takes a minute to get used to.”
Em will explain more on his acting career with an appearance on MTV’s “RapFix Live,” which will stream on MTV.com on Wednesday at 4 p.m. EST.
Eminem is a good actor, his movie 8 mile was an classic.
Eminem Credited With Boosting Chrysler’s Record-Breaking Sales

Marshall reps for Motor City by giving the ailing company a boost.
Chrysler has Eminem to thank for its latest win. The Detroit, Michigan rapper, who appeared in the campaign“Imported From Detroit,” helped Chrysler Group LLC post its first profitable quarter since it filed for bankruptcy two years ago.
Declaring “This is the Motor City and this is what we do” in the two-minute spot, Em is credited in helping boost the company’s profits with the advertisement, which debuted during the Super Bowl. Compared to last year’s $197 million net loss during the same time period, Chrysler posted a $116 million profit this quarter, increasing its net revenues 35 percent to $13.1 million.
“It clearly had a fairly big impact also on market levels with (the) Eminem Super Bowl ad being extremely well-viewed on YouTube,” said Chrysler CFO Richard Palmer. “And introducing the tag line ‘Imported from Detroit.’”
The clip now claims 10.5 million hits on YouTube, averaging out to 1,000 cars sold for every 1 million views. “I think it’s fair to say that we are certainly – internally – very pleased with the results Chrysler has been able to achieve in the first quarter of this year,” said Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne.
The upcoming Chrysler 300 campaign will feature Dr. Dre, Detroit Lions’ Ndamakong Suh and designer John Varvatos.

Nick Cannon Calls Out EMINEM In His Comedy Show

When it comes to rapping, Eminem is probably the last person anybody wants to go up against.
Nick Cannon however always felt he can go blow for blow. He is taking a much different approach this time around.
Here is what he revealed to XXL Magazine…
I’m talking about the situation, I say how I feel about it. I mean it’s definitely an interesting take,
I’m not trying to stir up old news. That’s the thing that my stand-up special is actually about.
It’s everybody getting to hear what I have to say first-hand instead of hearing it through interviews and hearsay.You get to see how I feel about it. And I think that’s why a lot of people are gonna be intrigued to watch. I talk about everything from Eminem, to my marriage, to how I feel about other celebrities and all that stuff. So, it’s an interesting take.
People have been buzzing about it. I’ve been on the road with it for the last year, and everywhere I go it’s a standing ovation. So, I think it should be well received.
