Fat Joe Says Hip Hop Is Run By The “Gay Mafia”

Fat Joe recently sounded off on homosexuality and Hip Hop, speaking with Vlad TV about his perspective on closeted rappers and the need for gays to come out. During the interview, he said that he’s definitely done songs with gay lyricists and that they shouldn’t be afraid to show who they are.
“I think I’ve done songs with gay rappers. I’m pretty sure of that. I’m pretty sure the football niggas is gay, the basketball niggas is gay – niggas is gay,” he said. “There’s millions of gay people in the world. Girls, too. Once again, I’m not a fan of that shit either. I’m a fan of, ‘Yo, I’m gay, what the fuck?’ 2011, you gotta hide that you’re gay? Be real! Like, ‘I’m gay, what the fuck?’ If you gay, you gay. That’s your preference. Fuck it, if the people don’t like it.”
He also gave his perspective on what he describes as Hip Hop’s “gay mafia,” referring to those who make moves behind the scenes. He says that gay members of the media are gatekeepers and hold a position of power.
“[Hip Hop] is the greatest gay market in the world. The Hip Hop community is most likely owned by gay. I happen to think there’s a gay mafia in Hip Hop. Not rappers – editorial presidents of magazines, the PDs at radio stations, the people who give you awards at award shows. This is the fucking gay mafia, man. They’re in power,” he continued. “So why wouldn’t a guy come out and say, ‘Yo, I’m gay’ and get that type of love? Like Lady Gaga, I don’t know if she’s gay but she’s running with that gay shit for real. And she’s winning. [...] It’s 2011 going on 2012. I think if you’re gay, rep your set.”
Fat Joe believe that the Music industry is run by a gay mafia ,and people are hiding their sexuality fro the media .
Fat Joe Writes A Letter To Big Pun For His 40th Birthday !

Nov. 10, 2011 marked the 40th birthday of the irreplaceable Big Pun. Eleven years after his death in 2000, the Punisher continues to be remembered for his contribution to rap. To celebrate his life, close friend and Terror Squad partner Fat Joe wrote a sentimental letter to his homie for XXL Magazine, calling him the best father, best friend and best rapper yet to be outdone.

Happy Birthday my brother! I wish you were here. We would have done it real big if you was here. I know we getting older now. We would have done it big with our families. The world is missing you. Still to this day, I haven’t heard a better rapper yet. God bless you.
When the world lost you, they lost an incredible spirit, an angel. Besides just being a dope rapper, you were always the best father, and you were always the best friend a person could have. Your loyalty and just being a sincere good person is really, really missed.

Touched after losing several friends to weight related issues, Fat Joe decided to lose weight through exercising and eating six small meals a day.
During the past 9 months, Fat Joe has slimmed down, taking 88 pounds off of his frame. Don Cartagena was able to do this without chasing a diet pill, opting instead for exercising and eating six small, healthy meals a day. For Joe, this was done specifically to deal with health issues, an important change he decided to make after recently seeing seven of his friends die from heart attacks.
The friends who passed away were all around the same age as Joe, something that definitely resonated with the New York emcee.
“What’s the difference between me and them? “Health doesn’t discriminate just because I’m famous.”
Joe went on to add that his family also played a role in this transformation, specifically his daughter Azaryah.
“I can’t leave my daughter behind,” he noted. “I want to be here for her; I don’t want to die on her.”
Joey Crack, who once weighed over 400 pounds, surprised fans with a 265 pound frame when he premiered a new video, “Drop a Body,” on Worldstarhiphop.com.
“I was always LL Cool J in a fat guy’s body,” he added. “[Now,] they’re all trying to alter my name, but I can’t see myself as anything else.”
He said new nicknames his friends use on him are “Skinny Joe” and “Joey Flaco” (a take on Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco and a spin on “Flaco” being the Spanish term for “thin”). “I think I gotta ask Diddy what my new name is.”
This is not the first time Joe has tried to lose weight. In the past, he says he gained weight back due to a lack of focus but seems to believe this is the right time to make a change in his life. He explained, “It’s like a crack addict – he hits rock bottom and he says, ‘All right, forget it. I’m not going to get high anymore.’”
Longtime Fat Joe supporters will realize that Joe also lost an associate, Big Pun, due to weight related issues after the legendary emcee died from a heart attack and respiratory failure. The emcee had also lost about 80 pounds at one point but gained the weight back and passed away while weighing close to 700 pounds.
I’m glad Fat Joe had a wake up call about his weight. We lost 2 famous rappers due to their weight problem.

I put her on ‘Lean Back,’ the number one song in the country [in 2004] — I realized there was no one I could blame. A lot of people turn around and want to escape from the pressure, so you need to blame somebody…My son used to look up to her, she was like my sister — and that’s why it’s unforgiiveable. You know how some love is unconditional? This is unforgiveable. I wish her the best, she’s still the best girl rapper in the game. I’m sure she’ll come out and do her thing. But you know, it is what it is. I don’t wish [her sentence] on nobody. I don’t wish that on somebody who wants to kill me. I don’t want nobody to go to jail for three minutes. It’s slavery. It’s modern day slavery. It’s h*ll. Especially a girl like Remy Ma, I know the real Remy Ma, the little girl, the little sister, I knew her. It’s a sad thing, she’s got a kid, it’s just a sad thing.”

Fat Joe recently paid Wayne a visit at Rikers Island, Crack said Wayne was “great spirits”….
“Lil Wayne, it’s such a shame,” Joe told MTV News. “He’s in great spirits. I love Lil Wayne; that’s like my little brother. He’s just the coolest dude on Earth. I tell you one thing, him not being high made me realize how much funnier he is. This guy has jokes. We were up in there for four hours, just telling jokes, dying laughing, falling on the floor.
“He’s a beautiful dude,” Joe continued. “He did what he did. He had a gun on him, but people don’t really know how much of a great father that he is, great of a person he is, a friend, a loyal dude. He’s charismatic. It’s just sad to see him over there like that, but I’m pretty sure he learned his lesson, and he’s gonna be focused.”
