It’s been a while since we heard from Lil Mo, but she back and preparing to drop her new album, “P.S. I Love Me”…

What can fans expect from the older, more mature Lil’ Mo? “I was born in the church, raised by the streets. When you hear the album, you know it’s R&B but the majority of my fans are really like church folk. Like when I do album release parties, I’m like ‘Somebody’s pastor is here! And all the church folks!’ Like, I made it cool to go to the club and still go to church. Have a good time, but be respectable.
“I’ve done my things in the past but you will never see it on tape or see a picture of it. I know how to carry myself in a respectful manner. So, I made it cool for church people to fall in love, to be in love, and to love yourself. That’s the basis of the project,” she said.
Now that she’s back, Mo has a definite plan on what’s next. “I’m trying to put an album out every year and just tour, tour, tour. ‘Til I’m like

Willow made $4M, from “whip my hair” she is now named one of Hollywood’s Richest Teens
Aug 15th
Willow Smith made $4 million off ‘Whip My Hair’
People Magazine has announced their “Richest Teens” list, and two Hollywood teenagers from the same household are on it. Both Willow Smith and Jaden Smith have made it onto the list, with earnings from their own respective solo projects– disconnected of their power couple parents Will and Jada.
Jaden Smith was credited with earning $5 Million throughout the 2010 calendar year, with $3 Million of that coming from his award winning role in the blockbuster classic remake of Karate Kid.
Willow Smith had her own breakout year with her first popular hit single “Whip My Hair.” In 2010, not only did Willow make $4 Million off of that song alone, but she even signed a lucrative record deal. The ten year-old singer signed a deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and even launched a second single, “21st Century Girl.” Prior to the release of her second single, the young starlet toured with Justin Bieber for a short time, where she got a taste of the jetset life. that after releasing one song (inclusive of her European tour with Justin Bieber I’d imagine), Willow brought in $4 million which puts her earnings close to artists who actually released albums last year, including Nicki Minaj and B.O.B. According to Forbes, Nicki Minaj earned an estimated $6.5 million last year which included the release of her #1 album Pink Friday, a MAC endorsement, numerous shows and appearances, a number of Top 10 singles on Billboard as well as breaking Billboard records for number of songs on the charts in a year. In comparison, rapper B.O.B. clocked $5 million last year, which included the release of an album, 2 Number 1 songs (Nothing On You, Airplanes). Willow’s $4 million means that with the release of the one song (and a less successful one that followed), she earned $2 million less than Rick Ross, 50 Cent, and Pitbull did for the entire year.
#1 – Justin Bieber – $53 million
#2 – Miley Cyrus – $48 million
#3 – Nick Jonas – 12.5 million
= – Taylor Lautner – 12.5 million
#5 – Selena Gomez – 5.5 million
#6 – Jaden Smith – 5 million
#7 – Willow Smith – 4 million
ALL I CAN SAY IS DAMNNNNN!!
BOTH SMITH KIDS ARE SET FOR LIFE,
WITH OR WITH OUT THEY’RE PARENT’S MONEY
WOW THEY ARE SO LUCKY!!!
Mathew Knowles was fired for allegedly stealing from Beyonce
Jul 12th

According to a new lawsuit filed by Mathew Knowles, Live Nation alerted Beyonce to Mathew’s skimming money from her concert tours,
after hiring an auditor to investigate Beyonce dumped Mathew as her manager. Mathew blames Live Nation for his firing, not his stealing…
I guess he felt Beyonce owed it too him….or maybe he was behind on child support payments to his jumpoff #justsaying.
source: TMZ
In the documents — obtained by TMZ — Mathew Knowles claims Live Nation Entertainment wanted desperately to sink its fangs into Beyonce’s 2011 world tour. According to the docs, Mathew claims Live Nation told Beyonce that Mathew “had stolen money from Beyonce on her most recent tour or otherwise taken funds that [he] was not entitled to.”
Mathew claims Live Nation was effective, because Beyonce had her law firm conduct an audit, and the law firm concluded Mathew had indeed pilfered money from her. Beyonce then fired him.
Mathew claims after he was canned, Beyonce hired a manager who had worked as a former exec at Live Nation and maintained a relationship with the company.
Mathew insists the theft accusations by Live Nation are false, and he wants the judge to give him the right to take depositions of various people at Live Nation, to determine just how they concluded he was a thief.
DMX To Be Released From Prison By End Of Summer
May 27th

DMX is currently behind bars serving a yearlong sentence for violating the terms of his probation by using drugs.
According to court records, Dark Man X will be released from prison under supervised watch on July 1st.
His supervision will end on August 12th, while his maximum end date in prison ends on August 25th.
X headed back to prison on December 16th after pleading guilty to violating his probation.
At the time, the judge speculated that he had “an undiagnosed mental condition” and possibly suffered from bi-polar disorder. He was admitted to the Flamenco Mental Health Unit at the facility.
This marks DMX’s 13th incarceration. He was arrested in Maricopa County, Arizona in November 2010 for violating probation stemming from an incident involving attempted aggravated assault by throwing a food tray at a jail guard, as well as theft by using a fake name to dodge a $7,500 hospital bill.
I Hope DMX can stay out of trouble once he’s released .
Rick Ross Recalls Drawing Inspiration From EPMD
May 23rd

While visiting the Cannes Film Festival in France, Rick Ross reminisces about laying vocals down on the Erick Onasis album with EPMD’s Erick Sermon.
Prior to his Def Jam days, and even before making a name for himself at Slip-N-Slide, Rick Ross says he drew inspiration from another former labelmate.
“I used to be chillin’ at the homie Erick Sermon’s crib in Long Island,” Ross recalled while filming a viral video at the Cannes Film Festival. “This is history that a lot of motherfuckers don’t know. If you go back to that Erick Onasis album, I’m on that album.”
Sermon would eventually leave the house that Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin built after EPMD broke up. Due to contractual issues, he began recording under the name Erick Onasis as a nod to Greek businessman Aristotle Onasis. Ross, who was then recording under the name Teflon Da Don, appeared on the 2000 album Def Squad Presents: Erick Onasis on the track “Ain’t Shit To Discuss.”
At their peak, Sermon and Parrish Smith introduced fans to Redman, Das Efx, Keith Murray and K-Solo, who all enjoyed solo success after being members of Def Squad and Hit Squad. They were the precursor to outfits such as Ruff Ryders, Roc-a-fella and even Ross’ own Maybach Music Group roster. As someone who is often praised for his ear for beats, Ross said he drew inspiration from EPMD’s “Jane” series.
“This shit just brings me back to when I made ‘Maybach Music’ part one through three,” Ross added. “My first time seeing that was in EPMD’s music with ‘Jane.’ I loved all the different parts. As I listen to all that classic shit, that shit was really inspirational.
Rick Ross music is killing the rap game if you ask me!

“Felicia Pearson has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty,”rep for Pearson said.
“In Felicia’s case, she feels that she is being targeted not only because of her portrayal of the memorable character ‘Snoop’ On HBO’s
critically acclaimed series ‘The Wire’ but also because of where she is from in Baltimore.”
Snoop, who served 6 1/2 years for murdering a woman she was 14, will be tried by a jury on August 9th.
I hope she stays out of trouble!
Clifton Powell aka Chauncy from “Menace II society” says he’ll beat Spike Lee’s Punk A**
May 13th
Actor Clifton Powell…aka Chauncy from “Menace II society” was asked on the Russ Parr Morning Show
what he thought about the feud between Spike Lee and Tyler Perry
let’s just say Clifton didn’t hold back anything #TeamPerry…
“To be honest, I don’t like Spike Lee. Spike is worse than any one of the mans. Because back in the day…and I hope Spike is listening cause I’ll beat your punk ass. I don’t like Spike. I have never said it publicly out, but Spike is a hater. He was doing all these movies, Sam and all these guys know he’s a hater. He kept all the money, there was lawsuits against him. I shouldn’t have said it like this, but I’m going to tell you the truth. I’m from the streets and you got to take care of your people…Spike needs to go sit his punk ass down and stop talking about Tyler Perry. Tyler Perry was homeless about 10, 12 years ago and Spike wasn’t writing him no checks. I don’t like Spike Lee because I don’t like his politics as it pertains to how he deals with African-Americans. I auditioned for Spike several times, he kept all of us waiting for hours. It was insulting, he made people fly across country, pay for themselves and come to auditions. Spike is the worst and he needs to go sit his punk ass down!”
He has never hired me, I don’t really care, because I would never want to work with him. Tyler has found his genre. The problem with being African-American in film as a producer, you have to be so worried about stepping on toes. We have just a few outlets in terms of the dimensions we are as a people. We zero in because there are not enough dimensions of what we do.”
Chauncy truly went in…i ain’t mad at him.
Max B Believes He Could Be Released From Prison This Summer
Apr 23rd

Speaking exclusively with Mikey T The Movie Star, Harlem rapper Max B revealed that his prison term could end as early as this summer. In 2009 Max was convicted of taking part in a 2006 attempted robbery in New Jersey that resulted in a homicide. The emcee was given a sentence of 75 years behind bars. But in this new interview Max seems hopeful that his appeal will lead to his release at some point this year.
Max B explained, “The appeal process is done, finally. It’s been done for about a month now. Now what they do is, the prosecutor responds back and you get a letter. They tell you you’ve got to wait eight to 10 months for a response from the appellate court. You might see me in the summer. You might see me at the end of the year. I’m just waiting on the appellate courts, all my paperwork is done.”
Max stated that his plan for survival in prison was just to keep his head down and keep to himself. He expressed that his focus was always on continuing his music career, saying, “I try not to be too popular in this joint; be real humble, stay regular. I don’t want to be too exotic up in here. This ain’t the spot for that. My thing is coming home, back to the family, back to the people and doing what I do best on the real level.”

State District Judge Lou Daniel will sentence Jordan, 40, to six years in prison May 2 under the terms of a plea agreement with the state Attorney General’s Office.
Authorities found several movies and images depicting the rape and sexual abuse of children on Jordan’s laptop while searching his Baton Rouge home Sept. 25, 2009, an affidavit of probable cause said.
Attorney General’s Office investigators and East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies also found a .40-caliber handgun, a .223-caliber rifle and marijuana in Jordan’s bedroom in the 1700 block of Briar Oak Drive, Assistant Attorney General Stephen Martin told Daniel.
Jordan’s attorney, Don Stelly, said Jordan faced up to 20 years in prison in the case.
His trial was set to start Monday.
The six years in prison will run without probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
Jordan, best known for his time spent with Percy “Master P’’ Miller’s No Limit Records in the late 1990s, pleaded guilty to one count of pornography involving juveniles and one count of attempted illegal carrying of weapons with a controlled dangerous substance.
Martin said Jordan has a prior drug conviction and a conviction for indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Martin recognized the multi-agency Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Baton Rouge Police Department’s computer crimes division for their work in the case.
The task force is led by the Attorney General’s Office.
