Kanye West has added a few more members to the G.O.O.D. Music family. The Chicago, Illinois rapper has signed Nigerian artists Don Jazzy and D’banj to his shingle,
which also houses artists including Pusha T,CyHi the Prynce and producer Hit-Boy.

Ice-T Enlists Eminem, Kanye West for Documentary

Ice-T brings out the big guns for his upcoming documentary “The Art of Rap.”
Between starring roles in New Jack City and “Law and Order: SVU” and his wife Coco’s new reality TV show “Ice Loves Coco: Baby Got Backstory,” Ice-T has become one of Hip Hop’s accomplished actors. Now, the west coast rapper is stepping behind the camera for the first time with a new documentary titled The Art of Rap.
Ice-T has enlisted 50 different emcees, including Eminem, Kanye West and many others, to discuss the science behind their lyrical craft. He said that the current influence of pop music in Hip Hop led him to want to make a film discussing the serious art of rhyming.
“I’ve interviewed 50 emcees – everybody – [from] Kanye West, Ice Cube, Eminem to Melle Mell, Grandmaster Caz,” explained Ice. “The Hip Hop scene [has] bec[o]me so pop. I was like, ‘I’m gonna do a movie about real rappers and what inspired us.’ Maybe that’ll hit a reset button on the game and let these kids know it’s not just about a pop record. Rap can do a lot.”
The Art of Rap also features appearances from rap veterans like Ice Cube, Melle Mel, Grandmaster Caz and Immortal Technique.
Ice T is a good actor, I can’t wait for this documentary to be released .
Lil Wayne, Kanye West And More Nominated For 2011 BET Awards

The nominees for the BET Awards 2011 have been announced ahead of the 11th annual event, broadcasting live from Los Angeles on June 26th. Hosted by comedian Kevin Hart, this year’s ceremony honors nominees from top dogs like Kanye West and Lil Wayne to newcomers including Cymphonique and Cali Swag District.
In the Best Male Hip-Hop Artist category, nominees include B.o.B, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and Drake. For Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, only four artists were honored including Nicki Minaj, Cymphonique, Diamond and LoLa Monroe.
Cali Swag District, which lost its member M-Bone , was honored in the Best Group category, where they’re up against New Boyz, N.E.R.D, Diddy-Dirty Money and Travis Porter. On the R&B tip, Best Male R&B Artist nods go to Chris Brown, Usher, Trey Songz, Cee Lo Green and Bruno Mars, while Best Female R&B Artist nominees include Beyonce, Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, Keri Hilson and Marsha Ambrosius.
Best New Artist nominees include J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa, Bruno Mars, Willow Smith and Miguel. Chris Brown scores two nominations in Best Collaboration for “Deuces” featuring Tyga and Kevin McCall and “Look At Me Now” featuring Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne. Breezy is up against B.o.B and Hayley Williams’ “Airplanes,” Rihanna and Drake’s “What’s My Name?” Waka Flock Flame, Roscoe Dash and Wale’s “No Hands” and Kanye West and Rihanna’s “All of the Lights.”
Video of the Year nominees are Kanye West’s “Runaway,” B.o.B’s “Airplanes,” Keri Hilson’s “Pretty Girl Rock,” Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair,” Marsha Ambrosius’ “Far Away” and Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now.” Video Director honorees are Benny Boom, Hype Williams, Kanye West, Chris Robinson and Mr. Boomtown.

kanye West:All Of The Lights Video Removed From Youtube in UK For Causing Seizures

Kanye West’s “All Of the Lights” video has been taken down off of youtube because it is said to cause seizures.
Epilepsy Action, a UK based epilepsy group, sent Kanye’s video to be analyzed by Cambridge Research Systems, which analyzed the video using the “HardingFPA” machine.
The research found that the rate at which the lights flash could trigger seizures, prompting Epilepsy Action to condemn the “All of the Lights” video.
“This machine looks at whether video footage is likely to cause seizures,” Epilepsy Action said in a statement. “We have today had confirmation that it contains material that may cause seizures in some people with photosensitive epilepsy.”
According to Epilepsy Action representatives, the video has been pulled from YouTube.com and will be banned from television, particularly in the United Kingdom.
“Ofcom regulations mean that this video should not be broadcast on UK television,” Epilepsy Action warned. “However, it is available online in a number of places.
We are in the process of trying to contact Kanye West’s agent, YouTube and other online sources of the video to ask that they take it down. We have also contacted MTV and other TV stations to make them aware of the issue.”

Kanye West Tweets On Abortion he calls out all the Gold Diggers

Yesterday Kanye went on a rant, that has arguably set off a big backlash, Ye commented on abortion.
He later on clarified that it never happened to him, but he knows people that were affected by expensive abortions.
British Pop singer Lily Allen, who just suffered a second miscarriage was not amused by the outburst. She wrote:
Ummm why the hell is she offended? Kanye ain’t said nothing but the truth,
if she’s in a committed realtionship and had a miscarriage that is different.
He’s not knocking miscarriages…he’s knocking hoodrats,
I’ll never understand why people get shocked over what comes out of Kanye’s mouth.

How can u “let” someone be number one??!! That was the whole joke!!! I know intelligent people know this so bear with me. Kanye West Sued by a thirsty Photographer

44-year-old Michael Vazquez says he was working at the May 14th 2008 event, which was a party to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Casio’s G-Shock watch. The suit says that at some point during the night, West (who was reportedly paid $1 million dollars to perform at the gig), along with “his agents, servants and/or employees acting in the course and within the scope of their employment, detained and/or threatened and/or caused plaintiff to suffer injuries.”
The assault and battery was committed by defendant, Kanye West, [his] agents, servants and/or employees,
with malice” and caused Vazquez, 44, “physical, mental and emotional illness,” the also suit says.
Police confirmed that Vazquez filed a report in the hours following the incident, claiming that his camera and cell phone were both taken by either staff at the venue or West’s security detail, and that he had also suffered a dislocated shoulder and cuts/bruises to his face in the scuffle.
Kanye wasn’t named as one of the attackers in the official police report, and officials closed the case after determining that the complaint was unfounded.
Michael Vazquez is now seeking an unspecified amount of money for his alleged pain and suffering.
I’m guessing his paparazzi checks ain’t hitting on nothing, since he is now deciding to sue Kanye, three years after the incident.
