Houston Day Care Provider Reportedly Flees to Nigeria After Fire Kills Four Children

Manslaughter charges have been filed against a Nigerian woman who allegedly left a Houston,
Texas day care center unattended that was the scene of a fire last month that left four toddlers dead and three injured, the U.S. Marshals Service said March 4.
The charges grew out of an indictment against Jessica Tata, a Houston-based day care provider and include 10 counts
of reckless injury and child abandonment for leaving the children unattended to go shopping.
Surveillance cameras show Tata shopping at Target between 1:09 p.m. and 1:24 p.m.,
moments before the first 911 calls about the blaze Feb. 24, according to BV Black Spin.
Seven young children, ranging from 3-years-old to 18-months-old, were inside.
Four children, ranging from 3-years-old to 18-months-old perished, one injured child was released from the hospital, and two,
a 2-year-old girl and 20-month-old boy, remain at Shiners Hospital for Children in Galveston in stable condition.
Investigators say the fire may have started from an unattended pot of oil burning on the kitchen stove.
Officials issued a warrant for Tata’s arrest three days after the incident, but sources had warned investigators the woman might flee the country.
A spokeswoman for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office said the tips weren’t enough for authorities to detain her.
“The state had to establish there were no other employees or adults on site at the time the defendant left the residence,” spokeswoman Donna Hawkins told The Houston Chronicle.
But family members of the victims said the city’s response was not good enough. They are still trying to cope with the reality that their children are gone.
“I’m sorry, no there’s no forgiveness for anyone who makes an income watching children and has an audacity to leave them for one second,” the grandmother of one of the dead told CBS’ Houston affiliate KHOU on Feb. 27.
Fire Department Chief Terry Garrison and the U.S. Marshals Service in Houston told the Associated Press they have issued a “red notice” to the international police agency Interpol, which alerts law enforcement around the world to look for suspects.
Garrison admitted that officials should have kept a better eye on Tata.
“Somewhere along the way we may have made a mistake. We are not going to blame anybody,” he told the AP.
It might be difficult for authorities to extradite Tata even if she’s found in Nigeria, according to attorney Douglass McNabb, a specialist in international extradition law.
He said Nigeria and the United States signed an extradition treaty back in 1935, but Tata’s alleged crimes might not be included under the provisions.
“If (Tata’s) family engages an experienced extradition attorney, they could really tie this sucker up for a very long time. It could drag on for years,” McNabb told the AP.
In addition to seven charges of reckless injury of a child filed against Tata, prosecutors added three counts of abandoning a child. If indicted, she will face up to 20 years in prison for each reckless injury charge and up to 10 years for the charges of abandoning a child.

This Mississippi Mom Was Charged After Son’s Body Was Found In Oven…
A Mississippi mother is being charged with the murder of her 3-year-old son after the body of young Tristan Robinson was found in her electric oven.
It is unclear whether the son of Terrie A. Robinson was killed before being placed in the oven, because this poor baby suffered some head trauma and his body was still warm according to authorities.
“We don’t know what’s wrong. We don’t know what happened. Do not sit there and call her a bad mom cause that’s not what she is,” said Sherrie Robinson, the twin sister of the accused mother.
Her twin needs to shut up, It’s tough to digest this sick shocking incident…. No motive has been determined and no statement has been made.
Hopefully her TWIN can explain why her son, was broiled to death in her kitchen appliance smdh.
Mother kills both of her kids for getting mouthy with her

She was arrested Friday morning (Jan 28) after the police discovered that she shot and killed
BOTH of her children a 13-year-old son and a 16-year-old daughter. Her reasons? Because they were “talking back.”
A Florida woman shot her two teenage children dead because they were being ‘mouthy’, police have claimed. Julie Schenecker was found covered in blood on the back porch of her home in Tampa after her mother had called police to say she had gone missing after complaining about her children. Police said the woman, whose husband is serving in the U.S. military in Qatar, had shot and killed her son on the way to football practice ‘because he talked back’. She then drove to her home and shot her daughter first in the back of the head, then once in the face, as she was on the computer.
A note was left at the home allegedly detailing her plans to kill her children and then herself, saying: ‘They talked back and were mouthy and that she was going to take care of it.’ Laura McElroy, a police spokesman, said: ‘I think we will never understand how or why a mother could take the lives of her children. ‘That was the only reason she provided to our detectives.’
Schenecker was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and appeared in a county jail yesterday afternoon, where she had to be supported by a sheriff’s deputy. Authorities said Schenecker was taken to Tampa General Hospital shortly after midnight to be treated for a medical condition that existed before she was taken to jail. Her mother had called police from Texas
because she was unable to reach her 50-year-old daughter, whom she said was depressed. A statement from the police added: ‘During a post-Miranda interview with detectives, the suspect confessed to killing her two children. She described the crimes in detail.’
Schenecker’s husband, Army Colonel Parker Schenecker, is stationed at the headquarters of U.S. Central Command at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. The father had been away for several days, said CentCom spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Michael Lawhorn, describing him as a career Army intelligence officer. Police said Parker Schenecker was in Qatar and was told of his children’s deaths on Friday. Officers found the body of Calyx Schenecker, 16, in an upstairs bedroom. The body of her son Beau, 13, was found in a sports utility vehicle in the garage.
An arrest affidavit said Schenecker shot her son twice in the head ‘for talking back’ as she drove him to football practice. She then drove home, went inside and shot her daughter in the back of the head as she sat doing her homework, before shooting her again in the face, the affidavit said. Ms McElroy said the teenagers ‘never saw it coming’. They were both killed by a .38-calibre pistol which had been bought five days earlier, according to the Tampa Tribune. Neighbour Charanun Soodjinda, 38, said: ‘They seemed like a nice family. I never thought this would happen. How could you do that to your children?’
Seena Jain, who took turns driving the Schenecker children to school, told the St Petersburg Times that Parker Schenecker had taken over doing the school run after his wife was recovering from a serious car accident. Both teenagers were described as being active at school. Beau played football at Liberty Middle School and Calyx was in the pre-International Baccalaureate programme at King High School, where she did cross-country and had set up a Harry Potter fan club.
Sylvia Carroll, who attended Muscatine High School in Iowa with Julie Schenecker, said she was a popular and athletic student who excelled in basketball in the late 1970s. They reconnected about a year ago on Facebook. ‘I’m just in shock,’ said Carroll, who now lives in Austin, Texas. ‘I can’t believe this.’

“Jumping off the gw bridge sorry” These were Tyler Clementi last words on his Facebook page, moments before he apparently leapt to his death on Sept. 22, according to a friend.
But the message did little to hint at the crisis unfolding in the life of the Ridgewood teenager.
In the days before, the personal life of the 18-year-old Rutgers freshman had been exposed on the Internet when, authorities say, his roommate used a webcam to surreptitiously broadcast a sexual encounter involving Clementi.
The Twitter page of Clementi’s roommate, Dharun Ravi of Plainsboro, hinted that Clementi was involved sexually with another man and invited others to watch a live webcam feed from the dorm room.
“Roommate asked for the room till midnight. I went into molly’s room and turned on my webcam. I saw him making out with another dude. Yay,” a Sept. 19 tweet said.

On behalf of the family of Tyler Clementi, I can confirm that Tyler committed suicide last week by jumping from the George Washington Bridge. His body has not been recovered. |
Tyler was a fine young man, and a distinguished musician. The family is heartbroken beyond words.
They respectfully request that they be given time to grieve their great loss and that their privacy at this painful time be respected by all.
The family and their representatives are cooperating fully with the ongoing criminal investigations of two Rutgers University students.
They will have no further comment at this time.

Ravi and another student, Molly W. Wei of Princeton, have been charged with two counts each of invasion of privacy,
the Middlesex County prosecutor and Rutgers police said Wednesday.
Ravi faces two additional counts for attempting to view and transmit the second encounter, authorities said.

14 year old kills a man for 4 dollars

Harleme Larry, A 14-year-old from Florida has bee charged with first degree murder
he robbed and killed a man for $4. Larry is accused of shooting and killing 31-year-old Agustine Hernandez.
Investigators say that Larry admitted to committing the crime for four dollars.
Larry had a .45 caliber handgun when he saw Hernandez standing along Oak Street
in Dade City, according to the arrest report.
Larry then allegedly approached him, opened fire, and then ran home.
Larry confessed to deputies he later threw the murder weapon into a lake.
According to police records, Larry has been arrested before on minor misdemeanors.
This is horrible all this over $4 this world is getting worse and worse smdh.
