Snoop Dogg considers launching hip hop version of The X Factor
May 18th

The rapper Snoop Dogg has announced he wants to produce an X Factor-style television program to find the next big hip-hop star.
The 39-year-old singer, who is in the UK to promote the launch of his 11th studio album Doggumentary, said that although he thought X Factor and American Idol were “great shows”,
he felt there was space in the market for a televised talent contest “straight directed to the hood … at people with no money, just talent”.
He said: “I’m looking for a deal from a network to find America’s hottest hood artists.”
Asked what he thought of pop star Cheryl Cole, who has recently signed up to be a judge on the US version of the X Factor, Snoop Dogg replied: “She alright. She doing her thing. She a little bit hardcore, a bit edgy.”
Snoop Dogg, a former Crip gang member, is himself no stranger to edginess. At possibly the most politically incorrect press conference ever seen on these shores, the rapper kept assembled journalists waiting in a private gentleman’s club in central London for almost an hour, before appearing on stage amid clouds of smoke and a bevy of skimpily-clad pole dancers.
Sipping an unidentified beverage from a Union Jack mug, Snoop Dogg (born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr) wore sunglasses throughout as he fielded questions.
Earlier this month, the rapper released a collaboration with Charlie Sheen called Winning, featuring some of the troubled actor’s infamous catchphrases. “Charlie Sheen was my friend before,” said Snoop Dogg. “I don’t judge my friends. If he’s my friend, he’s going to stay my friend. He called me over for a session … he needed real people to stand by him.”
In recent years, Snoop Dogg has successfully branched out into film and television. In London, he insisted that his plans for world domination did not stop there. “I want to open up a supermarket chain,” he said. “But I’m going to call them Snoopermarkets.”
From his own TV talent show Snoop aimed at finding the ‘hottest hood artists’
to a chain of Snoopermarkets, he is stepping up his plans for world domination.
Waka Flocka Flame Cleared Of Drug Charges
May 4th

After his December 16th raid at his Georgia home, which resulted in two arrests, Waka Flocka Flame turned himself in to local authorities Monday…. Waka’s mother and manager, Debbie Antney, told TMZ the rapper surrendered on his own
“because he wanted to do the right thing and didn’t want to run.”
Waka, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, was booked on the following charges: possession of marijuana
(less than one ounce), possession of firearm by a convicted felon, possession of hydrocodone, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, violation of probation for driving on a suspended license,
violating Georgia’s “Criminal Street Gang and Terror Prevention Act.”
Waka has been cleared of all the charges relating from his December 2010 arrest.
Waka went before a grand jury in Henry County, Georgia earlier today and was let off the hook on account of insufficient evidence against him. Gucci Mane who was at Waka’s home when police raided the residence, is still awaiting his trial….
I Hope Waka Flocka can stay out of trouble!
Chris Brown speaks on his naked pictures leaking online
Mar 6th

One Of Chris Brown’s Ex Chicks leaked Breezy’s bathroom sexting pix,
these are very recent pictures, it shows Chris Brown rocking his new blond hairdo…
Its not clear if the bitter ex is planning to drop anymore.
all I can say is DAMMMMMMMMMMN LOL, I feel this was nothing more then a
publicity ploy to bring attention to his album, and take everyone’s mind off of him whooping Rihanna ass #thatisall.
Taking to Twitter.com on Saturday, Brown seemed to be far from upset about the leak, writing, “Another day!! Another lesson! Another party!! I’m so thankful to have the support of my fans with my music!”
It’s the second controversial photo leak involving Brown in two weeks – last month, new photos of a battered Rihanna were published online, showing the injuries the singer sustained when she was assaulted by Brown in February, 2009.
Previous naked photos of Rihanna, taken while she was dating Brown, hit the internet just before the couple split in 2009.
Breezy’s new album F.A.M.E is due to be released on March 22nd.

Boycott Planned Over NAACP Honoring Kid Rock and others
Mar 5th

source: http://hiphopwired.com
Rocker Kid Rock is set to receive the Detroit branch of the NAACP’s Great Expectations Award at this year’s annual fundraiser dinner,
but many supporters aren’t happy with the selection and plan to boycott.
Many longtime supporters say the eccentric rap/rocker doesn’t represent the civil rights group’s mission and plan to avoid the May 1 fundraiser.
Those that oppose are mainly sighting Rock’s use of Confederate flags during his live stage performances.
The rocker has cited in the past the use of the Rebel flag stands for, “Southern Rock N Roll.”
“It’s a slap in the face for anyone who fought for civil rights in this country,” Adolph Mongo, a longtime political consultant and head of Detroiters for Progress, tells the Detroit News.“It’s a symbol of hatred and bigotry.”
Donnell R. White, interim executive director of the Detroit Branch NAACP defended their honoring of Kid Rock in a statement that reads:
“Kid Rock … has consistently lifted up the Great Expectations of many persons … concerning the future of the city.”
Kid Rock has yet to comment.
In related news, the NAACP is also being criticized by a number of groups over Friday night’s 42nd Annual NAACP Image Awards lineup,
which includes rappers, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Nicky Minaj and Diddy-Dirty Money.
Rev. Delman Coates, senior pastor of the Mt. Ennon Baptist Church in Clinton, Maryland and his group, the Enough is Enough Campaign for Corporate Responsibility in Entertainment have protested lyrical content that glorifies or promotes violence. They have their sites set on the Image awards.
“It is unconscionable that the NAACP would sully its brand, squander its legacy, and take such a stand contrary to the aspirations and dreams of the mainstream of the African-American community,” says Coates of the lineup.
Joe Brown, president of the NAACP’s Pasadena-branch feels likewise and hopes the opposition will cause changes in the organization.
“I think the national office is going to review the policy of the nominees and the participants,” says Brown. “Hopefully this will eliminate inviting those whose lyrics are considered disdainful.”
NAACP officials have yet to comment on the lineup selection of the featured performers but defended the nominations in a statement:
“The nominees and the winners are selected by NAACP members. It’s a democratic process.”
Rev. Coates still is not buying it.
“While artists are free to produce their own art, it is not acceptable for public corporations and established civil right organizations to sanction the kinds of lyrics promoted by some of these artists.”
Lil Kim responds to all of her so called haters
Feb 18th

Source: Rap-Up
Rap-Up: You tweeted that you sold 113,000 copies of Black Friday within 28 hours. Is that accurate?
Lil Kim: Right now it could be more. What do you say to those who question the authenticity of those figures?
At the end of the day, you’re always going to have your haters. We need the haters. There was actually a representative at PayPal who basically didn’t really confirm or deny it, but also [said] that they’re very happy and proud of the success of Lil’ Kim. I think numbers in other areas speak for themselves. I mean, why aren’t they questioning the Black Friday [video] being at 2.5 [million views] in less than 18 hours? Why aren’t they questioning that? What’s the difference? How can you add up one thing and not the other? I just feel like people pick and choose the area that they want to attack [laughs].Do you know the current sales numbers?
No, I actually don’t know right now. I have a team that kinda checks up on all that. We’ll keep you posted.Nicki Minaj laughed off your sales claims. Did you see that?
I heard about it. I didn’t see it actually for myself, but to be honest with you, homegirl is basically obsolete to me right now. She’s doing a lot of lame stuff. She’s so lame to me right now—she’s always been, but now really. At the end of the day, her sales can be questioned also. Not to say she didn’t have the build-up, but the only thing you kept hearing before her album dropped was nobody liked it, it was wack. Don’t get me wrong, she might have a couple songs that are OK, but who cares. The haters will be haters, that’s their job, and we need them.

New Pictures of 50 Cent’s Dramatic Weight Loss From “Things Fall Apart”
Feb 9th
The world was shocked last year when pictures of 50 Cent surfaced, showing him 60 pds lighter,
after he was on a nine week diet of only liquid. Now more pictures of 50′s weight loss have hit the net,
showing the rapper looking extremely gaunt and frail for his starring role in “Things Fall Apart.”
“Things Fall Apart” is said to tell the story of a rising football star who struggles with cancer,
just before reaching his goal of receiving the Heisman Trophy.
The rapper financed, wrote and produced the film which is due out later this year.
50 will probably get nominated for something…
this reminds me of when Tom Hanks played that AIDS patient in the movie Philadelphia.
anytime an actor takes on a role, where they have to dramatically change their physical appearance
they usually get nominated for something, fifty ain’t playing LOL!!

Jennifer Hudson Says She Isn’t Part Of The Illuminati
Jan 26th
Jennifer Hudson is speaking out on rumors that she’s part of the illuminati,
If you remember Hudson’s own “brother-in-law” Gregory King that accused her of being part of the illuminat,
then he broke in to a freestyle….but i digress. Greg says J-Hud is responsible for the death of her nephew, his son Julian King.
Jennifer has remained silent on the rumors but during a Ustream to premiere her new single she finally broke her silence to her fans.
Speaking to thousands of viewers online she said,
“I’m so glad someone brought this Illuminati mess up because only a child of God would address it. That is the most ignorant thing I have ever heard in my life! And it’s offensive because basically what? The people that are here today don’t deserve to be where they are?!
What, we didn’t work for it? ! So I find….it’s those that can’t make it that would probably join Illuminati,
or whoever that is, to get somewhere.”
During the U-Stream she also showed off her baby David and premiered her single “Where You At.”
This video is almost an hour long i didn’t bother to watch it, but I will say this.
If the illuminati is real, why do folks keep asking these artist if they are a part of it?
I mean do you really think they are going to admit it? IT’S A SECRET SOCIETY!!!
that’s like admitting to the world that you are a Mafioso Member, these stars are not going to admit it,
so folks need to stop asking them about it smh.
this is video, that put Jennifer Hudson out there, come to your own conclusion #thatisall
in part 2 Professor Griff talks about J-hud.
