LiL Wayne is finally free

For all you crazy Wayne STANS out there, your boy is finally home…Lil Wayne was released today,
from the Rikers Island prison facility after serving eight months of a yearlong sentence for attempted gun possession.
Though a guard told MTV News early Thursday morning that he had to wait another day due to
“miscalculated” time, at 8:35 a.m. a spokesperson at Rikers confirmed that Wayne had been discharged.
In March, Lil Wayne turned himself in to New York authorities after he struck a plea deal in his case
stemming from a 2007 gun arrest near the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan.
Young Money President Mack Maine stopped by the MTV News offices Wednesday
and revealed that Weezy would celebrate his homecoming with a party Sunday at a Miami strip club.
According to Maine, Wayne’s musical family plans to “just treat him like a king, like the royalty that
he is and make him feel like we really missed him and welcome him back to the family, basically.”
The party follows Drake’s Light Dreams and Nightmares Tour stop Saturday in Las Vegas,
a show at which both Maine and Drizzy have hinted Wayne may make a surprise appearance.

Lil Wayne posted one last heartfelt letter to his fans on his blog weezythanxyou.com to show his appreciation for their support and letters before his release from Rikers Island prison in New York this Thursday.
On his first day behind bars, Weezy says he received over 300 letters, some of which made him cry. He plans to continue to respond to fan letters he’s already received and also to continue to post more thank yous on his site.
Here goes the letter:
Hello world! My world! Our world!
As I greet you all in my last days on this island, I must reflect. I think back to when I first arrived and I had no clue of what I’d be experiencing. I was never scared, worried, nor bothered by the situation. For that, I thank God, my family, and you, my amazing fans. I prayed for you all every night, as I’m aware that I was in your prayers as well. The very first day that I received mail, it was about 300 pieces or more! I smiled like a child of Christmas. But when I began to read them, my heart smiled. I laughed with some of you, reasoned with some of you, and even cried with some of you. I responded to as many of you that time would allow. I plan to keep reading and responding after my release. I thank you all for being so very supportive, as I never imagined how much impact my words and life can have. With this knowledge, I vow to continue to be me! For you have assured time that I don’t have to change for no one but God. I will be the same Martian I was when I left, just better. You fans are more than amazing, and I will for to the end of the world for your love. This isn’t the last of weezythanxyou.com I will continue to thank you when I’m home.

…sitting on this bed with my back against one of the four walls I’ve been confined to, all I can think of is you. Staring at you staring at me, from the picture of you that I see. I try so hard to make the picture smile. You look so serious. Seriously beautiful. You, me, we are one. Then I look further to the right and there’s a picture of “the bed by the water”… where I dream to be with the woman in the picture that still won’t smile. I sometimes talk to the picture, but it never responds. Although, I’ve been told that a picture speaks a thousands words, I only wish that this picture would speak of four… “I love you too.” That would be the perfect response to what I frequently say to it. You see, the picture of “the bed by the water” has sand in it, and the woman in the other picture has sand in her hair… put them together, and she’s there. And when I dream, I’m there with her. Shhh… quietly these four walls become that place in the picture. And the woman in the picture begins to whisper… “I love you too”… she responds!
And now she smiles. Imagination is perfect.

Lil Wayne gets released from Rikers this Thursday

Lil Wayne is set to be released from prison this Thursday,
he is supposed to be appearing during the final stop of
Drake’s “Light Dreams and Nightmares Tour” two days later on November 6th in Vegas.
This is what Drizzy told MTV News:
“I would just advise you to book a ticket out there. If you can get tickets to that show on the 6th, I would strongly advise it.” After release, Weezy is expected to travel to Miami to reunite with his family.
Lil’ Wayne has managed to remain successful even though he’s been locked up,
His current album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 albums.

What’s poppin?!
By now I’m guessing that you all have heard about my recent relocation to the bing, which is punitive segregation. Basically, no T.V., no radio, no snacks/junkfood, and one phone call a week. This punishment has been handed to me for my earlier MP3 incident. I admit, I fu#ked up and now I must deal with the consequences. As I write this, I only have 25 days left, and it’ll be even less than that when you read this. So honestly, I’m fine. Obviously, this gives me a lot of time to myself and a lot of alone time with my thoughts, which can be creatively dangerous. I do miss being able to hear from my family everyday but once a week will have to suffice. To them, I apologize. I’m still able to receive mail so reading and responding is still a huge part of my day. I’d like to thank everyone that sent me B-Day cards and wishes… that was terrific. You all are wonderful, simply wonderful.
Well anyways, I just wanted you all to know that I’m good and I’ll be good! But at the end of the day, I did it all for music!!! By the way, thanx for downloading the I Am Not A Human Being album. And if you haven’t done so already, please do! And if you have, do so again! When I get out I’m going to put the album in stores and shoot more videos for it. Which songs should I shoot videos to? Also, we will be adding bonus songs and packaging the new Nino Brown DVD with the in store album! You’re welcome.

Another guard is accused of giving Lil wayne preferential treatment

A second guard at Rikers Island Prison is being accused of giving rapper Lil Wayne preferential treatment.
this isn’t the first time, a Rikers Island guard filed a lawsuit against the institution in April after she was fired for allegedly trying to sneak a peek at the rapper while he was in holding.
Now a second official is being reprimanded, this time for “spending extra time with the star.”
The New York Post reports that Capt. Latanya Brown was questioned by the Corrections Department after officials believe she allowed Wayne to stay in his cell while other inmates were made to leave their bunks and report to the recreational area.
Rikers says they have a zero tolerance policy for officers who give preferential treatment,
but this is the same corrupt institution that famously had a guard resign after a favoritism scandal linked to rapper Foxy Brown.
In 2006, SEVERAL guards reportedly allowed Foxy to wear makeup, watch television, and accept outside food and clothing.

Weezy decided to give everyone an update in his latest letter from jail
in the letter he talks about how he is doing, his daily routine, writing lyrics, his Young Money family and more.
Here’s the letter:
Hello world… I’m good. Counting the days and still smiling. Most of those smiles come from hearing my kids’ voices over the phone. The others come from reading fan mail. Let me just say that I have the best fans in the world! The devotion, dedication, support, love, and most of all, prayers are simply the best. I never imagined that I could have such an impact on people’s lives. Because of this, I vow to be a bit more careful of what I say.
So I’ve been writing and let me be the first to tell you that the lyrics that I’m writing are… well there’s no word that I can think of that properly defines them. Amazing would be too typical and perfect would be unfair. I listen to the radio sometimes, emphasis on sometimes, and I hear the new music. I like some. I applaud my Young Money family for what they’re doing. As I’m not surprised. This is what we’re supposed to do. Congrats to Drake and Nicki for all their recent success. Those 2 are going to have me retiring early. I love my team. Much love to Tez and Mack. I know that people are inquisitive of what I do all day, so here goes. I wake up around 11AM. Have some coffee. Call my kids, and my wonderful mother. I then shower up. Read fan mail. Have lunch. Back on the phone. Read a book or write some thoughts down. Have dinner. Phone. Pushups. Then I listen to ESPN on the radio. Read the bible, then sleep. That’s my day.
I’ll end this letter, but never my love. I’m gone. Oh, and how ‘bout dem Lakers!?!

Lil Wayne calls DJ Scoob Doo and Mack Maine to talk about Drake

Young Money is trying really hard to keep Weezy’s name out there, In this latest Youtube video DJ Scoob Doo and
Mack Maine are on the phone with Lil Wayne, they are discussing Drake’s upcoming debut, as well as Wayne’s release.
In the clip you can hear Wayne and Mack predicting big numbers for Drizzy’s first week, they are trying to compare drake’s potential album sales to that of the carter 3, which had the largest first week sales for any album in 2008….
Tha Carter III had sold approximately 2.88 million copies in 2008.
will Drizzy out sell Weezy? I’m not sure only time will tell.

Lil’ Wayne caught with contraband…

During a random search early (Tues. May 11), Lil Wayne was found with a pair of earphones and an iPod charger, in his jail cell.
These items are prohibited, Wayne will receive an infraction for possession of “music contraband.”
Wayne is currently serving a year at Rikers Island in New York.
“He was found with a charger for an MP3 player and unauthorized earphones,” in his Rikers Island cell, a source said. Authorities seized the music pieces at 8 a.m. after a prison rat tipped off officers, who found the music contraband in foil and a bag stuffed in Lil Wayne’s trash.
Weezy obviously didn’t bring a mp3 charger or head phones in to Rikers, he clearly got them from a guard/staff member…
rikers island needs to check their “security staff” a lot of guards do sneaky ishh for locked up celebs,
so this doesn’t surprise me at all… i’m sure he’ll have another pair next week bwahaha!
