Lil Wayne says Drake isn’t his competition, because he’s Drake’s BOSS
Sep 30th

WAYNE ON JAY-Z AND “THE OLD GUYS”
“There’s no competition [with any artists]. Music isn’t about competition no more. All the gangster rappers are happy, all the skateboard rappers are happy, all the white rappers are happy… Everybody just happy to do music these days. There are no problems. That shit died a long time ago with them old-ass rappers. We are just making music, making money and having fun feeding our families. Competition is for the old guys.”
VIBE: You say competition is for the “old guys,” but it sounds like you’re going at Jay-Z with that line, “I got your baby money/Kidnap your bitch, get that how-much-you-love-your-lady money.” Are we looking at it the wrong way?
LIL WAYNE: I know for a fact, music is about perception. You can’t do anything but perceive what you hear. If I know that for a fact, I can never be upset about someone’s reaction to it. I’m not gonna say I don’t know what will happen before I say it [on record]. I do know what will happen. I am aware of it. It is what it is.
VIBE: So you knew the repercussions of going after Jay before anything even happened?
LIL WAYNE: Well, I’m a man. I believe as a man you should know that. Every man should know the repercussions and consequences behind whatever they do before they do it. And of course, I know there won’t be any repercussions behind what I did.
WAYNE ON LOOKING AT DRAKE AS COMPETITION:
VIBE: You mentioned how humbled you were at the success of “She Will.” Drake, who wrote and performs the song’s chorus, has now become a platinum star in his own right. Do you look at the guy and say, “Wow, I helped create a monster, I have to stay on my toes”?
LIL WAYNE: I don’t look at it like that. Drake is my artist. If he wasn’t my artist, then yeah maybe. But that’s my artist. He’s not [just] a friend. We’re more than friends. It’s business. It would be impossible for it to be a competition. I mean, I’m the guy’s boss.
WAYNE ON HIP-HOP INFLUENCING THE LONDON RIOTS:
VIBE: Given that Cash Money artist Jay Sean is a native of the U.K., you probably have some strong feelings about the London riots and how some talking heads blamed it on hip-hop culture.
LIL WAYNE: All you could do is pray for the people that were dealing with the situation and hope for the best. As far as them blaming hip-hop, you can blame Jesus for things, so you can’t really fault anybody for blaming someone or something. All you can do is hope for the best.
Amber says Wiz would kick Kanye’s azz
Sep 29th
Amber Rose finally decided to stop taking the high road and on a recent radio show let went in on Kanye West…
She was Asked who would win in a fight between her new boyfriend Wiz Khalifa,

On Stripping At Sue’s and Meeting Kanye
When I was 15, I was homeless so I took it upon myself to go out and make money. I wasn’t a prostitute, I didn’t trick off. I was well respected in Sue’s [Strip Club]. A lot of guys in the industry go there and they all tried to holla and they never got the time of day with me. The men in the industry that tried to holla, they know what it is. When I met my ex, it was chemistry. We fell in love. He flew me out to do a Robocop video that never came out. We shot the video and hung out real tough. We were just good friends and fell in love. I never went back home. I flew out for the video and stayed, for two years.
On How she feels about the jabs he’s thrown at her on records
I have the opportunity to dog him out in front of the whole New York right now but I’m not that person. He’s bitter and I’m not. I don’t care to talk about him but he can talk about me all day. I don’t feel the need to talk [bad] about him to validate who I am.
Amber also denies Kanye West made her famous insisting,
“When people say Kanye made me famous, I don’t feel that way. People had an interest in me, and that’s not my fault. I can grow my hair back and move back to Philly and I’ll still be famous. It’s not my fault I’m famous. There’s nothing I can do about it. What do you want me to do?”
Uncle Luke Campbell Says Wiz Khalifa Has Gotten Soft
Jul 20th

Uncle Luke says Wiz Khalifa “needs to have his head examined” and refers to Amber Rose as a “triflin’ woman” as he explains “the bro code.”
2 Live Crew’s Luther “Luke” Campbell recently vented on his Miami New Times blog page about a cardinal rule in Hip Hop, that “you don’t date another rapper’s ex-girlfriend.” In the article, Luke spoke about Wiz Khalifa and Soulja Boy as “code” breakers, adding that if rappers “have a relationships, it’s with just one woman.”
“Wiz Khalifa needs to have his head examined,” Luke wrote on his blog. “The boy behind the hit ‘Black & Yellow’ has lost his mind over a woman interested only in hogging his spotlight. For months, Wiz has been dating former stripper Amber Rose, whose claim to fame is that her ex-boyfriend is Kanye West…Wiz Khalifa broke a cardinal rule in the Rap game. You don’t date another rapper’s ex-girlfriend.”
He went on to speak about others who have been with a colleague’s ex-girlfriend, including Soulja Boy.
“He is not alone. In Atlanta, Soulja Boy recently snatched Lil Scrappy’s girl. Lil Wayne’s ex Toya Carter tied the knot with some rapper named Memphitz earlier this year.
They broke the bro code.”
According to Luke, this was not always the case. In fact, Luke names Will Smith, Jay-Z, Ice-T and Ice Cube as examples of rappers who have been loyal to one woman in the past.
“See, when a rapper makes a commitment to one girl, he takes the relationship seriously….We rappers have always prided ourselves on not dating someone else’s ex-girlfriends or ex-wives. This will come as a shock to some people, but if we have a relationship, it’s with just one woman. Look at Jay-Z. He’s been committed to Beyoncé for some time. Will Smith, Run-D.M.C., Ice Cube, Ice-T, and I are other examples of loyal, dedicated husbands in Hip Hop.”
He later refers to Amber Rose and other women in the game as “triflin’” after saying Wiz has “gotten soft.”
“Wiz Khalifa, like some members of his generation, has gotten soft. They are losing their focus. They can’t spot a triflin’ woman in the room to save their lives.”

Jul 11th

Waka Flocka Flame says he’s tired of the BS associated with the rap game …
and he’s ready to throw in the towel ASAP, even though he’s only released one studio album.
After just 3 short years of being in the industry, Waka Flocka recently announced that he has plans to quit the rap game
for good after this year ends. In fact the rapper, most famous for his songs

“I’m tired of going through what I go through, and punk a**es always rain on my world,” Flocka revealed in a recent interview with Atlanta Hip-Hop radio station V-103. “There’s so [many] different haters, fake smiles, different hugs. I’d rather work at Walmart than rap, and that’s my word on God. Yup, I put that on Jesus Christ.”
ummm I hope it’s not a publicity stunt….either way waka is cool, he’s can’t rap to me,
but he has always been down to earth. I wish him the best in what ever he decides to do.

Ja Rule’s Wife Says The Rapper Didn’t Leave His Family Broke
Jun 14th

Following rumors that rapper Ja Rule left his family broke before his prison sentence his wife Aisha Atkins speaks out.
The wife of rapper Ja Rule, Aisha Atkins, has decided to speak out against rumors claiming that her husband
left his family in a bit of a financial bind after beginning his prison sentence last week.
Atkins spoke exclusively with TMZ and revealed that she and her family are doing just fine financially:
“He did leave us well off. All of the rumors about Ja being broke are far from true,” Atkins explained. “Ja made sure…that me and my kids wouldn’t need anything as far as income goes. He planned well before he went in.”
Atkins went on to stress the fact that Ja Rule would never leave his family without making sure they’re okay.
“We won’t be bad…even for a little bit — that was Ja’s first priority as a man who makes sure family comes first,” said Atkins.
Ja Rule began his two-year prison sentence on Wednesday, June 8.
The two-year sentence stems from a 2007 incident in which Ja Rule was caught with a loaded semi-automatic handgun in his car.
I’m glad Ja Rule left his family in a stable condition, they aint depending on no one else for any money.
Ja Rule Says 50 Cent & G-Unit Hurt RAP MUSIC
Jun 11th

As Ja Rule prepares to begin serving his jail sentence, he spoke with Rap-Up and regarding the state of hip hop and the “G-Unit” era.
Rule says that he there was a significant change in the rap game in the 2000′s that was for the worst. Here is what he had to say…
I do miss the old days because before the whole beef thing, we all used to get together, have softball games, and bond together. I think that camaraderie got closer after Big and Pac passed, and I think we made a conscious effort as hip-hop artists to try and be better with each other.
That era was great and then the G-Unit era came in and was built on so much hate, anger, and jealousy that I think it put everybody in that space,
even the fans. And then all of a sudden, it wasn’t fun no more.
The whole aura changed. You’d get artists that followed that come up like, Wow that sh*t worked for him.
I’m gonna start a beef with such and such.’ The whole vibe of hip-hop went dark.
I agree with Ja Rule, hip hop was calm until 50 cent entered the rap game and brought the negative energy with him.

Prodigy Says He Almost Whooped Jay-Z Following Summer Jam
Apr 29th

During a book signing in Washington D.C. with author/professor Michael Eric Dyson, Prodigy of Mobb Deep revealed quite the shocker when he explained to the audience that he once almost gave Jay Z a beat down outside of Justin’s Restaurant in New York City.
The incident happened several months after Jay-Z called out Prodigy at HOT97’s Summer Jam concert although according to Prodigy his issues with Jay-Z didn’t stem from Summer Jam.
“Sometime after that little statement I made about him, Jay-Z put out the song called ‘The Takeover’ and he did the Summer Jam,” Prodigy explained. “Had my picture up when I was a little kid at my grandmother’s dance school. I thought I was Michael Jackson. Aight, so cool. That was funny to me. I didn’t even take offense to that. That was just funny to me. My whole problem was a whole ‘nother thing.”
During the discussion Prodigy went on to explain that upon hearing that Jay-Z was at Justin’s Restaurant he and his crew of about 10 to 15 people waited for the rapper outside the restaurant.
“We surrounded the front door so he couldn’t get out without seeing us. So I’m standing there waiting to see him and finally he comes from back somewhere,” said Prodigy. “Him and Jermaine Dupri come walking. Jermaine sees us and he was out. Jay’s standing there with two bodyguards approaching us…He puts his hand out, like this, and comes walking up to me like this to shake my hand. So I’m looking at him like I could just really treat him like a rag dog right now like for real. So I shook his hand, ‘What’s up man?’ He was like ‘Yo listen, it ain’t no beef. It’s just music. Let’s keep it just music. There’s no problems son. I just wish you would have came and told me how you felt to my face instead of putting it in a magazine.’ And I’m like ‘Alright cool, there ain’t no beef. We can keep it just music.’ And I had thought about it real quick. Cause I’m thinking about how I could just really overpower him right now with the security and all that.”

This is the picture that Jay-Z leaked out lol.
Like the old saying goes ALMOST doesn’t count…
he should have whooped him or not even spoke about it LOL.
