Cory Gunz talks to Sway on how the Bangladesh produced collaboration came together.
“Honestly, [Wayne] just told me to be me on the record,” Gunz said. “He didn’t tell me any specific way to write or anything to do, and that’s what I really appreciate. Mack Maine and Slim, they don’t never try to, like, make me do anything that would make me compromise how I feel,” he added about the YM president and Cash Money boss. “They always tell me to be ’100′ with it and that’s what me and Wayne did — we bodied the record.
Nicki Minja speaks to Sway

Nicki Minaj sat down to discuss what fans can expect from her upcoming debut album Pink Friday.
During her interview with Sway on MTV’s Rap Fix, Nicki states that fans will be introduced
to new characters and a special collaboration with Slim Shady on a track called “Romans Revenge”.
“I had the most fun recording ‘Romans Revenge”,” Nicki said in the interview with a British accent. “It Roman, its Martha and it was Slim Shady. The craziest character in the song has to be slim.”
On working with Eminem, Nicki states that she never thought that he would want to do it.
“Honestly we stepped out on a whim when I asked him to work with,” Nicki continued. “He didn’t like the first track that I sent to him, but he didn’t tell me he didn’t like it, he said it was dope but it wasn’t ‘him’. But when he got the second track he called me and said that he loved it and I was excited.”
In the midst of her interviews, Nicki also broke down why she is determined to keep going with things her way despite what naysayers have to say.
“My mother is my biggest supporter and she influences me a lot in my career,” Nicki said. “When I was starting out, she was always there praying for me and just really supporting me and I love that. She is such a strong woman and that is where I get my ‘where there is a will there is a way’ attitude from because to us, there is no such thing as ‘can’t do’.”
Although Nicki has many different personalities characters, fans are being introduced to a new one that she plans only to debut after her release date.
“Everyone has heard Roman, Barbie and Nicki,” Nicki explained. “But now I am bringing a new character to the album that fans will hear and it’s Roman’s mother, Martha-but you will have to wait until November 23rd to meet her.”

Foxy speaks to Sway

Foxy Brown recently did an interview with mtv’s Sway,
Foxy states that the media is not concerned when she does good things,
which has led her to having such a tainted image in the press.
“No one seems to care when I donate 100 computers to a school,” Foxy said in the interview.
“But if it’s a little scandalous, they are all over it.”
Foxy also states that when she confronted a journalist who continuously tracked her legal issues, the reporter told her that ‘controversy sells’.
“When I approached Paula Froelich, who was my nemesis at Page Six (NY Daily News),
she told me that if I was doing good things to tell my priest,” Foxy continued. “But people want to hear the controversy and that’s their job, so I have a new found respect for them.”
In addition, Foxy revealed that Diddy gave her some sound advice regarding always staying in the news.
“Puffy told me that some artists are bigger than their records and some artists records are bigger than them,” Foxy said. “He told me that it’s not bad for your name to make headlines because it’s something when Puffy is the headline or Foxy is the headline without selling a record. When I was arrested I had TMZ hiding in trees and stuff and it was crazy.”
